I'm still plugging away at Final Fantasy XV. I wish I had J-Pop bros to go on a roadtrip with me.
What was the name of the burger place?
Mostly playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Collection of Mana. Played a couple of Gears 5 matches too.
As well as the usual, I played the demos for Art of Rally and RE3. The former is a very promising follow-up to absolute Drift, the latter was pretty meh.
It was so cold here on Saturday I actualy could not go outside and work (as I always do on weekends) so I stayed inside and started playing Crackdown 3. I don;t know what this game was so maligned. It's just a direct copy of the original as was the seond game.
Also continuing with Beat Cop on PC and Diablo 3 on Switch.
I remember seing them for the first time when I did a roadtrip to Texas for the first time.
Here is where they are:
Boo!
In somewhat related news: Dunkin Donuts is opening up their first shop in Belgium this year. This worries some people as a donut is far more unhealthy than our local backery products. I however am happy that I'll be able to easily buy a dozen donuts once or twice a year for personal use. And I know that for many here a donut is a donut, but boy, there is a big difference in quality and the dunkin ones are pretty good all around.
Whataburger is pretty much the pride and joy of Texas fast food, and I have seen many an argument over the years about which is better this or In and Out (The obvious answer is Whataburger of course, because In and Out is simply overrated gruel)
I'm sure its handle differently in Europe, but in the US Dunkin Donuts, or rather 'Dunkin' as they officially renamed themselves, took a hit in quality a couple years ago. The donuts used to be made in store, but now they are shipped in. This has lowered the quality of the donuts as well as the available selection.
This all seems to have happened around the time they chose to start focusing more on their coffee, which their credit is very good. Still, I wish they would remember what brought them to the dance so to speak. They actually will run out of donuts if you get there late in the day.
I had Whataburger in Pensacola. It was pretty good. I was amazed at how many Whataburgers there were around there.
I agree with Robio, that the donuts are awful, but they've always been awful. I do get a coffee from Dunkin' every morning.
Well perhaps you lot can afford to be more snobby about your donuts than us Europeans. You're all obviously swamped in high fat and high sugar fast food, but here we can't be so picky.
There are a handfull of independent donut shops I know of here, and while they all offer pretty good product, they all fall into the trap of wanting to add in too much extra's to make it extra special. I don't need large chuncks of brownie stuck to the top, just give me a well made glazing.
What you guys actually need is a Krispy Kreme. Their standard glazed donut is damn near proof that God exists and he wants us to be happy. And they make them fresh so you can get them while they're still warm.
