I have the same philosophy as you Robio. Gifts should be stuff you want but don't want to spend the money on. Which ironically enough would not include the XboneX at 50% reduction that I ended up getting.

I look forward to your follow up post when your wife thanks them for the gift.
She was pretty ambivalent about it. Not much of any reaction at all.
Anyone else tried the Cadence of Hyrule demo? It's pretty great. I'm terrible at it and it's quite difficult so I used fixed beat mode. It's actually a Zelda game, lttp. Looks great, awesome music. I might buy it, but I'm bad at it.

Ohhh thanks for the heads up!
Yeah I should stress to people, underneath the whole rhythm thing (which you can disable) it's a proper Zelda game. You have a sword and shield, you pick up items to use. There are block puzzles and Zelda enemies that have similar attack patterns. Also it looks really nice too. It feels a lot like the Minish Cap.
Less than a month ago, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said Switch owners chose to play the company's games on other platforms when asked about the possibility of The Sims coming to Nintendo's system.
Unsurprisingly, this didn't go down well with owners of hybrid device. In an attempt to improve relations, EA's chief studios officer, Laura Miele, has now spoken about the company's investment in the Switch, within the latest issue of Game Informer:
"We invested with FIFA. We had good success there. I love that we have such a great global reach and global presence on that platform with that game. We are absolutely looking at more Switch games in our portfolio, so more to come on that. We’re not going to announce anything as of yet. But it is absolutely a platform we’re looking at for some of our more successful games."
Another Xbox first game will be announced for Switch on Monday – report
That’s according to industry insider Daniel Ahmad, who said to expect the announcement during Nintendo’s Indie World presentation.
According to Ahmad, “if you’ve been following the rumors,” and leaks you probably already know which game will be announced.
Like many in his Twitter thread, we have an idea: Ori and the Blind Forest. Rumor of the game coming to Switch first surfaced earlier this year along with Super Lucky’s Tale and Cuphead arriving on the system.

I want an Xbox One X just so that I can play SSX3 at 1080p/60.

Astral Chain previews sound so good. Actual investigations and puzzles to solve like a prof Layton game with platinum action! I hope it’s fantastic.

You’d be surprised how much the FF theme is played in it. Also, they also have chocobos in the game and someone else named Cid. It’s crazy!
I liked it.
Besides Final Fantasy XV, I’ve played a ton of Uncharted 4 multiplayer. What about you fellas?
Played some Monster Hunter World and played a fair amount of World of Warships: Legends and Dauntless this weekend.
