I doubt that would be possible without compromising the structural integrity of the 'gutters' that hold the joycon in place.
It's a shame that they didn't take the opportunity to improve the durability of the Joycon sticks. As I understand it the problem is that by moving the sticks around, you grind the conductors down as they're made of graphite which isn't particularly tough. Strange that a company that practically inventend the analogue stick would make what appears to be such a beginner's error. You'd think it'd be easy to just swap out the graphite for a different material.
If Nintendo doesn’t fix the stick drift issue in the actual hardware then this could be very problematic in the Switch Lite since it doesn’t have removable joycons.
Personally I think it's a big problem already. When the solution is paying through the nose to get them fixed, or buying new Joycon altogether, i don't see how having to send in the whole unit for repair is that much worse.
Oh yeah, don’t get me wrong I think it’s a big problem now as well. I just think that it’ll be an even bigger problem if this still affects the Switch Lite.

I started playing yesterday. There's a single player campaign which offers challenges ranging from regular tennis, over tennis with obstacles or special conditions to be met. Noteworthy is the story, which seems to revolve around a cursed farao's tennis racket who has taken possession of Wario, Waluigi and Luigi.
Also tried some online play and won the 2 8-player tournaments I took part in. I've still got it. 
I played with all the over the top additions that are linked to the power meter turned off, as tennis should be played.
I always enjoy me some Mario Tennis, but in the end the gameplay is still very much the same as it was with the orignal on the N64. Could as well just play that one.

Thanks, but I've actually watched hundreds of hours of political shit on YouTube (from actual communists to actual neo-Nais, and everything in between) and if you think it's not trying to brainwash you as much as mainstream media is, you need to stop watching that bullshit, because that means it's working on you. I've also read everything from Communist blogs, the Marxist Internationale to Quilette and Der Sturmer, from Reddit to 8Chan. So if I've been brainwashed and not know it (and if I had been brainwashed I would not know it) I wouldn't be a left wing activist, but a Nazbol, so try again. Or a beefsteak, for the history fans out there.
And honestly, I do have aesthetic sympathies for fascism's shlocky public displays, and the communism's austere poignancy in their art. So hey, maybe it's possible to be aware you've been brainwashed after all?

If this criticism of the president triggers you this much, perhaps it’s time for a little break. Yoda summed up exactly why he’s hated here. It’s unacceptable to me (and obviously others here) to have the leader of the free world to be so divisive, so lacking of empathy for people of color, and depriving people of basic human rights. This will never be normal or acceptable and I don’t care how “wonderful” our economy is if our leader is this embarrassing.

They can reach the highs of the stuff on Display in Triumph of the Will, but also descend to the depths of being like a cross between Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and a historical reenactment fair. (Both of which are fun, but definitely super schlocky.)
