I started Doom 3 and it is very slow at the start.
The best thing to come out of the Windwaker selfies was this
I messed around with Street Fighter collection this weekend. I realize that I a prefer the SNES port of SF Turbo to all other arcade SF games.
I also found the climber's vest, several spirit orbs, and collected a lot of Korok poop.
Played lots of Monster Hunter World along with some Gears of War 5 Tech Test and Gears of War 4 this weekend.
What blows my mind is that it was a launch feature for the Wii U. I had an absolute blast messing around with Zombi U & chatting with people on Miiverse right out of the gate.
To me it's an absolute joke that the Switch's online is so barebones even compared to that, & we're talking 2012 here. I just don't get how they've gone backwards.
I hooked up the ol' Xbox 360 this weekend because I had an itch to play Perfect Dark. This game is still such a masterpiece.
Did something that amazed me. Out of all the countless times I've replayed this game & all the hours put into it, I actually found an entire area I never even knew was in the game today. The G5 Chicago streets mission...I had no fucking idea you could go into the strip club where there's some body armor & I think dual Magnums hidden in there. This had me laughing out loud....just the fact that I never knew you could even go in any other building on this level other than the G5 building. Crazy.
Unfortunately, the strip club was empty other than crooked cops.
I started The Return of the Obra Dinn and Sky: Children of the Light.
In spite of not liking Journey at all, I'm really enjoying Sky so far.
I also just started Wolfenstein 2 no gyro patch PS4 edition , which is fucking great so far, other than no gyro.
Sure they removed some features, but they did add others, such as having to pay for their online service now.
Miiverse was great. Made a few good online buddies there. And having people help you out when you shouted out and posted photos was awesome.
Gears is my only reason for picking up a Xbone. How is Gears 4 compared to the previous ones?
You need someone to send you a buddy pass to play Wolfenstein Young blood trial version 🙄. I tried the Kill la Kill demo but the opening cutscene went on so long I stopped and deleted it. Tried the Hob demo and it was pretty good. Had some Zelda-ish elements to it.
I really enjoyed it myself but you might want to check out some of the reviews for it to see how you might like it.

I'm not surprised. The last one honestly wasn't that great either. I thought it was pretty boring. This series has had a few solid entries over the decades, but overall it's always been the Luigi to Doom's Mario.

More high praise.
In related Splatoon2 news: I managed to order the set of 3 posters from Nintendo, for the princely sum of 300 platinum points and €6.99 extra for shipping. I don't even know how I earned 300 platinum coins, but they were well spent.
I still have a golden statue of link riding epona with his sword drawn. Very fancy looking, not tacky at all. The wife gave me some good advice to keep it stored out of view in its box in the garage as to avoid that it would degrade because of exposition to UV.
