This weekend I played a bit of Shadow of the Tomb Raider plus the original Legend of Zelda.

My weekend was spent on RE7 with a bunch of episodes of Deadwood scattered in between.

My weekend was spent watching NHL finals, & playing the following:

  • Kingdom Hearts 2
  • Knights of the Old Republic
  • Nier Automata
  • Titanfall 2
  • Folklore
  • Grand Theft Auto 3

Yeah...I'm all over the place. I gotta say Kingdom Hearts 2 looks fucking amazing on the PS4. The first game looks like more of a simple remaster, but this one seems to have had a lot more work done to it, kind of like the PS4 version of FF12. It looks like a real PS4 title. Much more impressive looking game.

Looks neat, although you know we'll never get something like that because some idiot will place his bottle of beer on the docked Switch, spill it, and sue Nintendo over it.  The full glass front would also be horrible for fingerprints.  I like the attempt at a smoke grey see through model though.

I'm not a rap fan at all, but I recommend anyone who owns RE2make on the PC to download the DMX "X gon give it to ya" mod. It's fucking hilarious and fits the game perfectly.

I watched a couple of videos where they interjected the song over the gameplay videos of the people while they were playing. It wasn’t the actual mod but it was done the same way to their videos and it was indeed hilarious. My favourite one was the one with Maximilian Dood.

I bought Wave Race 64 on a second hand fair a couple of years ago.  Still haven't gotten around to setting up the N64 to try it out.  I played the heck ouf of BS back in the day though.

For me the weekend was mostly about Bravely Second: End Layer.  Started the game a long while ago and picked up the save a week back.  I've been enjoying it a lot, it's a game that doesn't take itself seriously, at all.  The puns are also very good.  Every chararcter has a name that tells you a lot about them.  There was an inspector who enlisted your help because she couldn't care to do her own job, named Ms. Marie U. Dewitt.  I've also fought an evil pattisier and a catmancer, which is exactly what you think it is.  yes

Still hacking away at Yakuza 4. Luckily "hard" is so easy I can continue playing it one-handed.

I've always enjoyed games you could play with one hand, find it to be very relaxing.  From the Pokémon RPG's to the Bravely Default games, it's just comfortable.  The bravely default games in particular lend themselves well to this as the whole game can be played with only the analogue nub and the D-pad.  No strecthing to reach the buttons on the other side required.

Pretty solid list of games there for the Genesis Mini. I’ll most likely be picking one up.

I'll enjoy what's shown, but with so many of the big announcements "leaked" ahead of the show and Sony sitting it out it's definitely not the kind of event that I take vacation time off to watch.

I’m very excited for E3. Microsoft’s conference is going to be two freaking hours long. I imagine we’ll see their new hardware unveiled and a metric ton of games shown off. It’s going to be amazing.
