I know I'm late to the party on this, but holy crap, RE7 is pretty damn amazing. I'm only a couple hours in, but this is paced like a really good horror movie.

Hey Vader, since I think you're the only one that has it, did the PSVR do much to enhance this game? I was debating picking up a Switch this summer, but I still have so many games I want to play on the PS4 that I'm wondering if maybe I should just invest in the VR instead.

I had it on PC and it didnt have VR support so I played it like you. I didn get PSVR and RE7 recently but only played a few hours and pissed my pants. Its ridiculous how much more scary and immersive it is. So my quick reaction is that it would enhance the game maybe too much.
