I finished up Hollow Knight and played a little more Hearthstone than usual. There was a new deck released earlier in the week so the game is kind of crazy as everyone scrambles to get the new cards and tries to figure out what new combinations work. Probably going to go finish up Spyro this week, and after that... maybe go back to Dragon Quest 8.
I finished NecroVision: Lost Company. It was both better and worse than I was expecting. Midtier is still more interesting than indie.
This weekend has been all about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for me.
I had no idea that you could get Nintendo Gold Coins on physical games by having the game in the system, highlighting the game’s icon and pressing the + button. Sadly a few of my games were over a year old I guess which meant I couldn’t get any coins for them but most of my others were still eligible. I just found this out because you need to do this to get Pirahna Plant in Smash Ultimate.
That’s pretty cool but also a bummer that I didn’t know that.
I just checked myself, and (here in Europe at least) the deadline to redeem the points is 2 years. I managed to redeem the points on all my games, even BotW, which I had purchased with my Switch on launch.
Didn’t work for me. The time has expired.
Yeah I missed out on Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Mega Man X Collection is bugged as when I tried to redeem it I got the message that I couldn’t redeem for that game yet. Looked it up on Google and this was a widespread problem with other people. Anyway this is all very good to know now so just remember this whenever buying physical games.

Dude, Monster Hunter World is getting an expansion. They're bringing back an ice world. Good times. It's not coming out for about 9 months too so that's perfect for me. Right around then the Monster Hunter itch will probably start scratching again.
I'm thinking it'll be too late for me. I'm playing this one evening a week with a friend, but we won't keep up till then, nor will we be enticed to spend more money on the game just to get back in to it. We'll see, but I feel that nearly 2 years after the original release is too late for an expansion.
