Yeah I saw that the other day, very cool stuff.
I’ve been thinking about hopping back into the game and with the upcoming one year anniversary event happening it looks like it’ll be a good time to do so. Also Geralt from the Witcher games will be making his way into the game as well. He’s made his way into Soul Calibur VI and now Monster Hunter World. Could Super Smash Bros. Ultimate be next?

Also Supreme I think this expansion has new ranks and stuff. I think it’s what G Rank was in the other games but I don’t really have experience with those other games so I’m not sure.
It'll all depend how large the expansion is. If it's just one area and a handfull of monsters with assorted weapons, I'll probably pass. If there's enough meat to it and it also enhances the other area's with new quests I might be interested. Might.
edit: also too bad that there's no cross play with PC and Xbone. Not that I've got a personal beef with Robio, but I guess PS4 cross play would be too long of a stretch to hope for.

This expansion works really well for me. I like revisiting and replaying these games rather than getting a new one every few years. This is the perfect incentive to go back. And given the length of time for development I suspect this will be a girthy extension to the game.

Having NMH3 production rely on Travis Strikes Again sales reminds me of the boneheaded test games we had on Wii. They should have made NM3 in the first place.

They likely don't have the budget. After the hit Lolipop Chainsaw, it seems that most of their other games bombed.
Also, the Wii test games were just that, tests and they almost all failed, hence why developers ignored the console. The Switch has had plenty of test games as well, the difference is that they all passed with flying colors so developers are flocking to the console.

Jeanne's speech? I hadn't heard it either, although somehow I knew the gist of it. Can't say I'm surprised by it though. Great game, something I want to replay some day soon. One of the few games my wife ever enjoyed watching as well. When I first beat it, I read about the second ending with the second boss fight and assumed you'd have to beat the game on hard to unlock it, so I played straight through it again. Then it appeared that all you had to do is use a specific Katana during the fight with Jeanne.
Still, it was great fun.
Tieing NMH3 to sales of the Travis game is lame as hell. However, after the abomination that was NMH2, I'm not even sure I want a new game in the series.

The Wii and Switch "tests" are PR exercises in trying to sell shitty spin-offs, nothing more, nothing less. And you should not expect more ports to such different consoles.
