What's your favourite scene?
I like end of season 4 Sheridans speech to Earth when he was on the ship.
Oh man, I don’t know. It’s been so long since I watched it. I’d need to refresh my memory a bit.
I've been seeing a lot of RE2 rumors lately, people saying it's quite a bit better looking than RE7. I also read that Kamiya was at Capcom possibly giving them some direction on it. I'm really liking the news on it for far. Man I hope it releases this year. Wouldn't be surprised if it's early next year though....I don't know why but Capcom have a habit of releasing RE titles in January.
Wont it be like the Racoon city parts of RE6?
Not really if they design the gameplay more like a true horror adventure game. RE6 is more of a shooter.
From the rumours, it says the camera angle is RE4 style with a few isometric perspective bits.
That sounds good to me. Actually really cool if they have a few areas with the old school camera. I'm fine with whatever perspective as long as it plays like RE2 should play.
Did anyone watch the Pokémon: Lets Go trailer? Personally I liked it. It's no traditional pokemon game in the sense that you have to battle monsters to capture them, but it's a nice conversion of the traditional games and what Go players imagine a Pokemon game would look like. I'm curious to see if the actual story will be similar to traditional pokemon games, where you beat gyms to become the ultimate trainer.
Best bit was the drop in/drop out multiplayer and even more so the pokeball controller:
It vibrates and lighs up in true pokemon catching fashion while capturing, and it will allow you to 'take' one pokemon with you if you go out, I'm guessing like a pedometer. Best of all though is that the main 'button' seems to be an analogue stick. You can play the whole game with this ball shaped joycon.
Still, the couch Co-op feature looks awesome. I could easily myself playing with the kid that way. And while I'm not sure it's worth the $50 they are going to charge for it, the Poke Ball controller was pretty freaking cool.
Did they already announce the price for the pokeball controller? I'd imagine it to be around €50 anyhow. It's a tad too expensive for a single use controller. I'd hope they'd sell it in a bundle with the game. If so, I wouldn't mind paying a €30 premium for it, just based on the novelty. €50 is too much though.
And yeah, graphics... It's a pitty they weren't more ambitious, but I see this game as being more aimed towards the Pokémon Go playing demographic and they probably couldn't care less about shaders or individual leaves on trees.
I also showed the video to my son before I went off to work. His jaw dropped halfway through. I've already seen some older fans screaming without rage, but the younger ones still seem to be impressed and ultimately that's who drives the majority of the sales. So I think there is yet another successful Pokemon along the way.
I bought Steamworld Dig 2 to play in the car.
^ Sounds like a dangerous idea to Switch 'n drive.
Interesting. There is currently a “free to start” Pokémon game on the Switch which you can download now called Pokémon Quest. It be available for iOS and Android devices later on.
Looked into the pokeball plus some more. It also works with Pokémon GO on smartphones, which is a neat extra but has little to no practical use. Battery life is estimated at 3 hours, which seems downright abysmal when compared to a joycon. This thing better be much cheaper than the $50 my sources have told me about.
Pokemon Lets Go looks allright. It's based on Pokemon Yellow which was the first one I ever played and it seems jazzed up enough to try out. The two player thing makes me think it would be cool to play with the nephews. Graphics could be better, but it's coming out fairly soon and we are still getting a proper core RPG next year. That should be more interesting.
I'm fucking stoked for Pokemon.
