Just read a few more reviews of the Chuwi Hi12 windows 10 hybrid - haven't seen a bad review. Seems like this company makes comparable devices as other manurfacturers for a fraction of the cost. Wish they had UK customer support as the price, specs and design seem totally solid.
Got a download code for review, game runs really well docked on internal storage - looks like 1080 to me. Far less aliasing, looks colourful and clean.
Game data is 479 MB, which I assume is 99% patch if anyone is curious. Game is definitely much higher res than the Wii U version, assuming 1080P. Frame rate looks the same as that version to me, which is 30(ish) FPS but somebody would have to throw a frame counter on it to compare.
Everytime this thing flops down in my lap I am thinking of you.
Seriously though, I find it hard to believe your claims that that Asus tabletamajig would have sported a better screen and build quality. I can see how it can take some getting used to for use on your lap, even more so if you're really using it while slouching in a couch, but it's just such a dream of a machine. Perhaps it's overspecced for what you'll be using it (browsing the web), but just try playing some older games on Steam. I played Titan Souls (not a demanding game, but still) with it on my lap, on battery alone.
Maybe you should consider getting a folio for it instead of a case?
I can imagine making it easier to rest on your lap like that. Me, I got the Kensington Blackbelt 2, but I do take this thing with me onto construction sites.

If they had, their devices would be in the same price range. Seriously GG, you can't expect such a deal without there being a catch.
Damn on yokaa laylee scores. It's a pass for now until it starts cheap.
Yeah it's a shame. If you want a good N64 style platformer Lego City is cool. The entire open world is like a Banjo style jiggy hunt.

I put the screens side by side, my Asus has a brighter better screen definitely. Also its speakers are great, but they are back facing. Still sounds better than the Pro 4. I like the screen ratio though and the way the keyboard is used as a case. I guess it is overkill getting this thing for just net and email. Truth be told if it wasn't for this site and needing a keyboard for it I would just get a cheap tablet. VGpress is costing me extra money. What are the best uses for this pen thing? Any apps or tips for using it?
I feel it could be useful. Oh yeah battery on this thing is 5 hrs, but more like 4 and a half at max brightness. I was told it was supposed to be like 8.5 hours, wtf?

Well the reviews say they are great. It uses quad core Atoms, my old one had dual core atoms so as long as it runs okay and it seems to according to reviews. One review said the components are great and the system was fabulous for the price. One review even said they ditched their Surface for the Chuwi and didn't regret it.
Oh shoot. GAF has seemingly confirmed Switch Lego City is 1080p
It's a Gamershyde guy.
"So basically we've gone from rumors and panic about the Switch version being an incomplete game on cartridge that needed a 13 GB download to play and ran at 720p docked, to the reality being a complete game on cartridge that has a 500MB update and runs at 1080p docked."
I think that with Yooka Laylee expectations soared above what could be expected. It's probably a fun game, but which adheres to the gaming tropes of 3D platformers 20 years old. But that's exactly what had been promised. I'm sure a lot of people will lament that some area's of the gameplay don't seem more modern, but if you go in expecting a new Banjo game I'm sure it'll prove sufficiently gratifying.
Well I can't say I was looking forward to playing Yooka-Laylee but wow.... Not looking like a smash hit. Hopefully it'll still be what the backers want.
In other news a new Hearthstone deck is due out in the next day or so. If anyone was interested in coming back to the game, or trying it for the first time, now is a really good time to start. They are removing two of the older decks out of standard play including the League of Explorers deck which was chock-full of pain in the ass cards that was absolutely a nightmare to play against.

I mean, it was made by 25 people and supposedly it has one kind of crappy level and it's a bit short. I'm amazed it seems to be as great as it is. I know I'll enjoy the shit out of it probably more than I would other games that have 1000 people working on them and billions of dollars behind them. This game is getting the JRPG from 2007 treatment that Lost Odyssey got, but in Platformer form......ooooh it's not modern enough. Yeah, that's the whole point.

Some GAFfers with Lego city switch are saying its 1080p?
bequietdrive
Load times are really short, will time in a sec.
DoF is less aggressive but still there.
Meh-a-netta 3?
Rage meter building!

Oh snap, I'll pass for now.

^This lol
Seems to be getting better:
Yooka-Laylee Review Scores (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Yooka-Laylee releases worldwide on PC, PS4 and Xbox One April 11.
LEGO City Undercover - Switch Vs. PS4 graphics comparison
Near identical. Must get. Both are 1080p 30FPS-ish

Surface has gotten a lot faster since it updated. Very nice.

'Bout 130 hours into Nioh. Still loving it. That is all.
About 120 hours in and still loving it.....in Zelda.
. Maybe I can rent that game tomorrow if I have time.
