Started on The Assignment part of the DLC for the Evil Within. Boy this is creepy as hell. YOU HAVE NO WEAPONS!!!! This is pure sneaking around, hiding, running away, and distracting. It certainly makes for a more nerve wracking experience. Even when ammo was low in the main game, you still knew that if you could probably fight your way out of a bad situation so long as you could pull off a lucky headshot or a well placed shotgun blast. This time, you can maybe squeeze in a kick before you die. Still too early to tell if this part of the game will be good, but it will be very different.

I know all of you are wrapped up in that 'Z' game for that Super Gameboy gizmo Nintendo just put out, but I'll reiterate:

Nioh is an absolutely amazing game. I'm about 90 hours in now with no gamer fatigue in sight at all. Not only is it assuredly going to be among my GOTY's this year, it is shaping up to be one of my favorite games EVER! It even surpasses Ninja Gaiden in my eyes and is the best game Team Ninja has done yet!

I'm messing around a bit with the original ME now. At this point the game is a little long in the tooth, but still great. It came out way back in 2007 so it's fucking 10 years old now. Crazy. But basically, the first one is like a more refined Knights of the Old Republic. It was Kotor 3, without the SW stuff. Now, ME 2 was quite a bit different. They dialed it back on many of the RPG elements which IMO actually make it a better, more immersive experience, and have you just getting into the gameplay more instead of reading too much or worrying about stats. The combat is also hugely improved in ME2 as it plays more like a futuristic RE4. Some people prefer the old style...I myself am kind of torn because I like both, but in general ME2 was the better of two incredible games. And I think there's a lot of people who didn't like ME1 that much, but LOVED ME2.

ME3 is basically a continuation of ME2. It's also a great game but the ending of it all didn't feel as BIG as it should have.

I've been playing Zelda daily now, and while I do find I'm enjoying it, I'm not deriving the same level of satisfaction from it as I did from playing other games in the series.  So far it has lacked 'grandeur' in the story and cutscenes.  Not enough scripted memorable moments.  Perhaps it's a case of the story being eclisped by the scope of the overworld.

I'm not surprised by this at all.  I mean, Ketsu himself implies that the Korok seeds are in fact pieces of shit when you first meet him.
