I always forget about the other services. The only one I use besides Steam is Origin and that's only because EA refuses to put their games on Steam.
While this is a thing, it is very rare. Some huge game collector on GAF says it's only happened to two of their games with their nearly 25 year old library.
One of the site's forefathers.
Snake Pass by Sumo Digital seems to be shaping up nicely. It's a neat and unique concept for a platformer, but watching footage of it, I can't help but feel that the game would drive me nuts because it doesn't allow me to jump. Here's a game that harkens back to the vibrant 3D platformers of old, and there's no jumping!
Who do you guys in the states use for a cell provider? I'm on verizon but I've been thinking about switching. I used to have T Mobile years ago but had a lot of trouble with texts not going through and shit like that.
I did see this. We'll have to see if there's a time both you and I have time in the near future.
I think we're right on the edge of it starting to happen. CD Roms weren't the go-to format for PC games until around 1995 and the Playstation and Saturn were only introduced shortly afterwards. So as far as gaming, most people don't have collections of games that are more than 20 years old. Once we hit that 25-year m ark I think that deterioration is going to be a much more common concern.
Additionally, it is something that will be more common among people not taking care of their libraries. I think any gamer with a large collection is probably doing a good job of keeping the games sealed in a cool climate controlled place. On the otherhand I have been to a couple pawn shops that have not and have seen some pretty jacked up Playstation games.
Hey Leo I have a question for you since you were here. A year or so ago I think you talked about a PS4 game that played kind of like Monster Hunter. Do you remember what the name of that game was?
I am with Verizon. I get a discount with them through my company, so any of the minor issues I have are usually worth it. Besides, after switching providers a few times over the years I have learned it all cellphone companies pretty much suck and it's probably impossible to be genuinely happy with one.
I am here.
...
Does that make it better or worse?
Lol....this happens to me every time I show up. I just figure nobody likes me.
On the cell phones...yeah this is what I'm thinking. Maybe it's not worth the hassle. I used to get a discount through my job but no more.
Don't think I didn't notice you dodging the question at hand.
I will notify the missus, although I think she's too caught up in her mission to binge watch every series available on Netflix to get stuck in a Harvest Moon game now.
I still think I have some books from my pre-school period. The ears are bent, but otherwise they're still in pretty good shape. I can still definitely read them.
Fucking assholes better put it on the Switch too.
So I'm replaying crystal Dynamics original Tomb Raider reboot....2006's Legend. I've always really loved this game as it totally captures the feel of the old games but finally with modern (for 2006) controls.
The PC version is funny. One of the graphics settings is "next generation content". This basically makes the game look slightly better than the 360 version....turn it off, and it looks like the original Xbox version. There's certain parts later in the game that crash with it enabled, so you have to turn it off to get through that particular section. It's literally like playing both the Xbox and Xbox 360 versions at the same time. They made her ass look fantastic in both versions though.
