Bah, seems like you can't turn on the Switch with the Joycons, like you could the WiiU and Wii. The way I have my consoles set up means they're not that easy to reach. Having to declutter my set up so that I can reach the Switch in it's dock to turn it on is going to be a pain in the ass and a step back in my opinion.
Decals you can pre-order right now.
meh.
It's funny, using the Wii U most of the weekend has be a little down on Switch.
Switch is both better and yet worse than Wii U when it comes to functionality. For instance the U controller is always next to me and when someone else wants to use the TV a simple button press flips the screen. With Switch I have to get off my ass and walk to the TV to pull the unit in and out and of course flip the joycons back and forth.
Also I was using Netflix (apparently not on Switch at launch) and part of what is good about that is browsing for what to view on the gamepad screen while something else is on the TV. It allows you to secretly browse, whereas if I did it on the main tv screen the other person would spot some period drama or kids show or some other rubbish I dont want to watch.
Then there is Miiverse, which has helped me multiple times in getting past sticking points in games. And of course, using two screen at once which I have loved using too. But then Switch I can take anywhere I want, and saves all that hassle of packing consoles and power bricks and the docks mean you can flip it between tvs and houses.
Personally, I don't think I'll be doing much gaming on the TV with the switch. These days, most of my gaming is done either while the missus is watching something on the TV, or in bed. I'll definitely play things like Zelda on the TV, but I can also see me playing a lot of smaller games on the Switch screen.
As for the matter of Netflix: I'm happy Switch won't be as great a Netflix player as the WiiU is. Off screen play is a cool feature, but not if the missus is watching Netflix ON MY WIIU.
Let her use your Surface.
I had to watch all the OA on Netflix via the Wii U.
I meant that she uses the WiiU to watch Netflix on the telly. 5 home consoles, of which one supports off-screen play, and still she finds a way to twart my gaming needs.
GameSpot gave Resident Evil 7 an 8. Not too shabby.
Star Wars Episode VIII is officially subtitled "The Last Jedi"
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Desructoid gave it a perfect '10!'
Mostly OK. Thanks for asking. Haven't had a lot of time to game or post lately. Started seeing someone new after losing the man I was engaged to last year, he suddenly had to get emergency Gallbladder surgery a few weeks ago and I've been taking care of him somewhat since then. A little tough, having my own back issues still, but doing the best I can.
Sweet.
