So we got the PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro. The Slim is $299 and comes out Sept. 15th, no word on price or date of the Pro though. Depending on what the Pro will cost and when it comes out I'm kind of tempted to jump onboard with the Slim and upgrade to the Pro a year or two down the road.
So close. Nov. 10th is the release date and at $399.
So the date for the Pro is Nov. 10th and the price is $399. Guess I'll pass on the Slim and go right with the Pro.
Works for me though. This holiday season the Slim could be as low as $250.
Why even release a slim?
Well, Nov 10, it could have because they need it before Black Friday.
What a boring conference. So it's a 4K machine. It doesn't really make games run better. All the frame rates were terrible. MAss effect look like it was 20FPS

If the only difference between the Slim and the older PS4 is the size then I will probably get the slim because it is cheaper.

Ahh, anyone else remember the good old days of the GC launch over at Gamespot? Xbox fans refused to acknowledge that Rogue Leader looked kickass, claiming it didn't count as it were just mechanical starcrafts.

So this dates back to a point in time when our hardware systems were the number one gaming platforms in the world. But now we see that smart devices have reached significant penetration across the globe. So for us as designers, our goal is always to try to bring our characters and games to as broad an audience as possible.
