Damn it miyamoto, you didn't allow a Mario and sonic platformer. What an arrogant ass, I bet he was like "we don't need your damn hedgehog in our game"

Praise be Miyamoto for denying the Sonic Creep.

Sooo you don't like video games anymore. It's ok to admit.
I wouldn't say that. I'm off the AAA hype train though. have been for a while and that's okay. I don't mind missing games. Seriously there are so many Anime Blurays on my Amazon wishlist I can't even afford those. And while the following purchase was a mistake, I spent PS4 money on a bag last year. And never used it.

EDIT: There were no drugs in the bag either.
You should really lay off the ebaying GG, you seem to get ripped off every time. I mean, €400 for a BAG?
But I agree on the not minding missing out on the games. The amount of game time I have at my disposal has plummited over the last 5 years. I can't even keep up with all the games I want to play just on the WiiU.

It was a designer bag, but it's hard to open/close and too big.
I used to love Ubisoft games, that quirkiness, those French twist games. They were the closest thing to a western Nintendo. Then they started making everything openworld and online and military games. Other than Ass creed which has so many sequels now I've just forgotten about it. So I don't miss Ubisoft games like I would have if they had still been like the old Ubisoft. Most EA stuff never interested me in the first place most of it is bad anyway, but I would have loved to play SW Battlefront I think. Activision has a few big sellers that aren't really quality. So I don't even feel like I've missed out as much as I thought I would. Sony's first party stuff is the most interesting, but it's not always good quality; like Beyond Two Souls, The Order, Knack. Uncharted is good, Last Guardian looks cool. Guerilla games stuff looks good on reveal but never seems to review well.
Nice to see my recent purchase of Dark Souls III helped push the Bandai Namco forecast upwards.
Great to see Blue Dragon may be coming soon to the backwards compatibility list. Hopefully Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, and Star Ocean: The Last Hope won't be far behind.

Was playing Monster Hunter 4, going on an expedition where I could encounter a Gravios, which looks like a 30 feet tall concrete chicken which spews deathrays and always seems very unimpressed when I'm chopping away at its ankles. I came prepared and determined to take it down. Then 2 of them showed up at the same time. I was not prepared. So I did the only thing any self-respecting hunter would do. I fled back to the caravan.
I really want to go back to NY some day, it's nearing 10 years since I've been there. But, with another kid incomming, I doubt it'll be for this year or even next.
I was going to make a thread regarding Neo yesterday but I forgot. The gist of it would have been, how do you think Sony feels about Scorpip leapfrogging Neo by so much?
Sony is the market leader, its PS4 is selling great, it thinks it will get out while they are ahead and launch the NEO which is twice as powerful. That team must have been feeling pretty good about themselves. Then all of sudden MS announce a machine that essentially leapfrogs their as-yet-unreleased more powerful PS4 system. I mean it literally must have gone straight over their heads. So do they go back to the drawing board? Because it seems that this gen its all about the specs war.
They can either cancel the Neo and go back to the drawing board, or release it, and then get the next system out a lot sooner than anyone would expect t compete with Scorpio. Which means Neo would be some awkward console with 1 year in the limelight before fading into irrelevance.

November - New York and San Franciso for about 8 days.
Was going to Hawaii but went cold on the idea as I'm not much of a beach person. Does anyone know what NYC weather is like in November? I don't want to be caught up in the Snowpocalypse that happens there. Whats the average temp? And my friend says it rained a lot in San Fran?
Pete Hines: We talk to Nintendo all the time – we’re pretty well briefed in on what they are doing. It’s definitely something we will look at; and our philosophy is that we will put our games out on any format that supports the games as we envisage and make them. If the NX fits that from a technical standpoint, and fits the game that a developer in our stable is making, I don’t see why we would not put it out on NX. But it’s too early to say, ‘we’ll definitely be putting games out or not.’ Like with mobile, we want to have the right fit for the right formats.
Standard Bethesda Nintendo console support answer. They said something similar with Wii U.
Basically, no support. I don't get the statement though, he starts off by saying that they talk to Nintendo all the time and are well briefed on what Nintendo is doing. Then later says "If the NX fits that from a technical standpoint" so they obviously do not know what the NX is from a technical standpoint. So they don't have dev kits - probably because they haven't asked for any in the first place and don't want any.

Neo will be fine next to Scorpio just as Xbox One is fine next to PS4. How much of a difference is going to be shown in multi-platform games? Hardly any. The only PS4 games that look truly a step up from Xbox One games are like Uncharted 4 and maybe Ratchet. The spec numbers look huge, but the visual difference in what your eyes see is not even the difference between XBOX and Gamecube back in 2002.
Its funny because I'm sure most people that buy a PS4 as their only console think they're getting a box that totally blows the Xbone away, because that's how its been hyped up. But if you showed these people something like DOOM they wouldn't be able to tell that it wasn't on the PS4.

1. To answer the first question, "is it easy to get to Redwood National Park from San Francisco" the answer is not really. It's a lovely drive, but it's also 5 or 6 hours without stops.
2. Novemeber in New York can be unpredictable. It was very warm this past year. But barring a freak winter storm or heat wave, it should be fairly comfortable. Expect average temperatures in the 50's or 40's (do the Celcius conversion yourself) depending on what part of the month you go and if there's a warm or cold front coming through. Snow in November, while not impossible, is probably unlikely. Thank global warming for that these days.
3. San Fran gets more fog than it gets rain. Their winters can be a little wet, but November is kind of on the front end of that, so you should be fine. Bring an umbrella, but I wouldn't let it affect your plans.

I'm going to miss not playing Deus Ex HR.

I did nothing yesterday but play RL and watch the RL finals. And it was good.
Agreed!

Going to USA this year. Anyone know if you can get to the Redwoods from San Francisco easily or is it too far away?
When are you going and for how long?

Will you be on the east coast at all? Edit: I totally missed the next replies. Maybe you can visit your friends down south while in the east coast.
Neo and Scorpio are coming out too late during this console cycle. They may as well work on PS5 and Xbox 4.
