Yes! I liked it a lot. It's a cool twist on the whole Mystery Dungeon formula. You bring a team of 4 into the dungeons, each with their own skills and attacks. You create separate teams to protect the city sitting atop the Mystery Dungeon from attack. It's not easy. Not Etrian hard, but not easy either. The only thing that made it a tiny bit awkward was it relied on Etrian Odyssey character classes; I've played the games a good bit, but I'm not always 100% sure what they all do or mean. You can get by with a Fighter, Mage, Cleric and Rogue type character team and that's what I did. If it's on sale, even better! You'll get A LOT of value for any amount less than what it originally sold for. Worthy of a pick up or download!
I'll try it, but I don't think I can handle those visuals. Same as I wont go near these 8bit style digital games.
Every article I read about the new consoles keep saying things like "this is the start of a new console strategy", "these are not new consoles but upgrades" and "specifically designed for 4k hdtv's". Its annoying me.
First off, the "only good for 4k" thing is complete horseshit, as anyone who owns a powerful PC can tell you. Second, these ARE new consoles! They're coming out 4 to 5 years after the previous machines...that is a normal cycle. And tech-wise, they're a hell of a lot more of an improvement than the Wii was over the Gamecube, so why was that a new console but Neo and Scorpio are not?
And third, where is this "start of a new strategy" shit coming from? Is this a mandate send down directly from all 3 console players to the rest of the industry at the same time? Or is it just a bunch of gaming writers spouting out bullshit because its just what THEY think? New consoles coming out every 4 or 5 years is not a new strategy, and its not a "much faster pace" of release...it was the norm up LAST GEN, which only lasted as long as it did because of the shitty economy. So this line of thinking makes no sense whatsoever.
As I've said before, we won't see new consoles again for another 4 years at least, after the Scorpio comes out. Or at least, I'd be shocked if we did. There is no new strategy here besides trying to catch up with current tech because they were all so far behind.

I totally agree that this is more like a new console cycle. Funny, the PS3/360 era seemed to go on forever and this gen barely feels like it got started.
You grew up on graphics like that. You'll be fine. The gameplay is important here.
Neo is only about twice as powerful as PS4 so it is in GCN > Wii power improvement territory. But of course PS4 was much more powerful than PS3 in the first place so, yeah.
Scorpio is about 3x more powerful than OG PS4. They aren't the many multiples more powerful than the previous generation(s) (i.e PS4, XB1) even if they are releasing 4 years later. So maybe that is why they aren't considered a new generation, even though Spencer said it was.

So I needed another motionplus for Zelda Battle Quest for the nephews, looking at the prices I decided to get the Wii Sports Resort motionplus bundle instead. Got a new game thrown in. Cool, always wanted to try it out and after Nintendoland and unlocking all the Wii Play games again for the kids I'm getting back into something that still feels fresh to me.
Laser tennis in Wii Play is awesome, as is the billiards game.
Playing FFXIV makes me happy. Yesterday I spent the better part of a morning making ingots and stuff for my blacksmithing leveling. I didn't go anywhere, didn't see anything else besides the interior of the blacksmithing guild. Just sat there making stuff.
I could have any game I wanted. Could play whatever is new and hot. But there I was, making ingots.
