Give us detailed impressions that is more than its awesome.
It feels a lot like Gears 3 which is a good thing. Feels a bit more fast paced and fluid then the series has ever felt. You can now reach over cover to grab a player on the other side and yank them over to your side leaving them momentarily open to attack. The new Drop Shot weapon is very cool. It launches an explosive up in the air which travels in a direct line and goes forward for as long as you hold the fire button, great for getting those who are crouched behind cover. Shotguns have really good range which is nice. Lancer is pretty powerful and is a viable weapon. The maps are really good with lots of ways to get around to all the areas. Graphics look great and the gameplay is very smooth.
Okay I've changed my mind.... if NX gets commitments for more Dragon Quest and Street Fighter, I'll grab it at launch.
In other news, Twilight Princess Picross is outstanding. Its awesome when a good puzzle game grabs you. Nothing else in the world can distract me, which is very unfortunate for SMT:IV.
See stuff like Star Fox being pretty average by Nintendo standards bothers me. If Nintendo and Platinum can't make a totally classic game when its one of the only bigger games on the Wii U, how in the world are they going to keep the quality up on NX if they are indeed releasing everything under the sun they possibly can for it in the first year?
I wouldn't sweat it too much. Nintendo is just clearing the slate with the Wii U this year. At any other point in their history they would have held it back and kept trying to make it better, but they just want it over and done with. It's the same reason they're not bothering with an English translation for Tokyo Mirage, and why I suspect Pokken will never see DLC despite the fact it's character selection menu was built to accomodate it. They just want to hurry up and release everything they have for the system so they can move on to the NX.

Zero always sounded like some Miyamoto garage project to me. He dicked around using Starfox 64 with motion controls then outsourced it to Platinum whilst giving them no creative freedom whatsoever.
I think Miyamoto has essentially been sidelined as a creative force within Nintendo, he doesn't oversee the whole framework of games like he used to (after the restructuring), which according to him gives him more time to be a director.
He's essentially been put out to pasture and is occasionally rewarded with a pity game budget. Still, he's earned his fellowship and elder status within the company.
