Gamesindustry: There's still merit in console secrecy

So I checked if my current Surface Pro2 is SteamVR ready today. Here are the results:
Your system isn't capable of rendering low fidelity VR and it appears to be parioally bound by its CPU. We recommend upgrading your cpu in addition to your Graphics Card. You can also try updating your Graphics Card drivers, closing performance heavy applications and running this test again.
Average quality: 0 (low)
Tested frames: 990
frames below 90fps: 990 (100%)
frames CPU bound: 891 (90%)
So there you have it, ultra compact laptop grade technology a yaer and a half old has absolutely zero chance of running SteamVR. How are you guys faring?
I don't recall that. Doesn't make a lot of sense based on the things I remember him talking about back in the 90's, but it's possible. Honestly I was never a big MK fan, so I never followed a lot of the things he said too closely. The one exception was UMK3 because that was in the game room at my college and my best friend was the wizard who knew all the combos and could unlock the secret endings, characters, etc.

Yeah doesn;t sound like Ed Boon at all.
It's a story I heard multiple times from GAF. I know it was one of the Mortal Kombat people.
So some guy who plays Halo5 lost both his daughters in a housefire. Bungie took note and made a special emblem and did something or other in some level to commemorate his 2 daughters, which is sweet. But someone also started a GoFundMe.
As someone who has recently lost a daughter this just seems odd to me. Is it an American thing, for people to donate money after a personal loss? It's not like it'll bring his kids back, or soften his pain. Just rings a bit hollow to me. I'm sure he and his wife would have been equally happy if all those people just sent them a nice card.
I asked the same thing in the EG comments section, I'm sure I'll get negged for it.

Man that's horrible. The only thing I can figure is maybe its a fund to get the guy and his wife off the ground again in terms of buying a new house? IDK.

Yeah, but still. That's insurance territory. And would any of them be willing to send him cash if it weren't for the fact that he lost bost his daughters? I know that when we lost Juno, I was very much against deriving any financial gain from the loss in any way. It just didn't feel right.
Take Two to have a big E3 presence huh? Awesome. Red Dead sequel please! I also wouldn't mind a Bully sequel and if its not too much trouble get somebody to do a GTA4 definitive edition. Actually a Red Dead definitive edition would be incredible too.
Yeah Kickstarter as a sympathy gesture is getting a lot more common. Someone tried to do one for my wife last year after she had a major surgery. There some legitimate reasons sometimes, like possible medical bills incurred (even with Obamacare American health insurance is often as good as single-ply toilet paper).

So to answer the question, I don't know.
Health insurance has gotten WORSE with Obama shit. I know the place I work, they used to have really good insurance but after the Obama bill they changed to a cheaper insurance (for them) and now everyone has to pay like double what they used to. Yeah...big help.
^Cyndi would be a pretty good boss. Sindi!
Sindi? Which Sindi?
Yeah. VR is bust.
Evil.
I'll take option 2. Given that Cindy Crawfrod is not an option.
Me too...or at least her tits. Those jugs could feed a family of five.
Dark souls 3 "True Colors" trailer! Cyndi Lauper is the final boss.

One of the site's forefathers.

Is Dreamfall Chapters ever coming out for the PS4? Would love a physical copy.

How much of a fan are you?
Not that much.
Me neither. I think this one looks much better:
not that I'd ever wear such obvious videogame apparel though.
edit: my 4-year old son would be all over that new design though. He's a big fan of 'the green fighter'.
