Its cool that Splatoon has been a success and all, but has it really mattered? I mean, its still just selling to Nintendo fans and to the same pre-existing userbase. It hasn't made the Wii U sales skyrocket or made a bunch of Playstation or Xbox users jump over to Nintendo.
Change a couple of words around and you could say that about any game on any platform. For instance:

I also think much of its success is just due to the fact that there's not a whole hell of a lot else to choose from.
That's a logical conclusion until you start looking at other Wii U games which haven't sold well. There's nothing to choose from, so shouldn't Bayonetta, W101, or even stuff like Splinter Cell or Deus EX HR have sold 4 mill too? Other platforms have more to choose from but that didn't stop GTA V amassing huge sales.
Splatoon has outsold Bloodborne and The Order Combined and its sales are tracking ahead of Mario Kart 8 as that graph shows. MK8 could be on track to breach 10 million sales by this time next year so that's no small feat for Splatoon.
I think you don't know what you are missing with Splatoon, it's instantly accesible yet ridiculously addictive. I think word of mouth has spread about it, with other people recommending it to friends because they want to face off with them.

Also during the Wii/DS gen Nintendo had plenty of new IPs, like:
Wii Sport/Fit, Nintendogs, Hotel Dusk, Another Code, Xenoblade, Brain Training, Pushmo and plenty of other small indie titles.
Also they resurect long dead IPs like Pilotwings and Kid Icarus. I mean the modern compared to original Kid Icarus is so different it's almost laughable to not consider it as a new IP.
I was going to buy it, but as it stands now, it is not nearly as good as ETS2. Only two trucks, only two states and they messed up with the time compression so longer trips now take less (real) time than they did in ETS2. I'm not forking out 20 americanos on two trucks that I can only drive through one fucking road. We'll see how things improve over time in regards to breadth of content.
I like Gillian Anderson better in Hannibal. Of course I never did like X Files. Outside that Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns goes out at night into the woods.
- Top selling amiibo in US: Link, Bowser, Toon Link, Mewtwo, Sonic, Pikachu, Mario, PAC-MAN, Mega Man, Ganondorf
- Top selling amiibo in Europe: Mario (Classic), Link, Inkling Squid, Green Yarn Yoshi, Mario (Super Mario), Mario (Smash), Inkling Boy, Toad, Inkling Girl
- Splatoon sales tracking is ahead of Mario Kart 8
Bam.
In 2015, Inkling Girl/Inkling Squid/Inkling Boy are the number 1,2,3 best selling amiibo in Japan respectively.

But...the PS4 is selling exactly like it should be. Wii U is not....so this makes no sense.
The woman who leaked Paper Mario for the Wii U is now reporting that Mother 3 is going to come out this year. If this happens, I will shit myself with happiness.

I am having serious nerd rage. Nintendo announced new features for Zelda TP. Nintendo announced hero mode is available from the start but that flips the map to the way it was on the Wii version which is the way I always played the game. I want to play it the normal way from the GC which I never tried but then I have to play on easy. You the flying fuck do you screw something like that up. Everyone fucking played it on Wii!!!
Let me choose the damn map I want! Why does Nintendo always do stupid shit like this!

I'm pretty sure Nintendo is doing this purely to spite you.
And how is the normal mode easy mode? It's the normal difficulty setting.
edit: also, I don't see the huge difference between having the map mirrored or not. It's not like you'll remember much of it after 10 years anyway.

It's the right orientation of hyrule, the same hyrule since alttp and OOT, it always felt weird having everything in the opposite side. Plus I want link to be left handed again.

This is serious truck simulator talk? Wtf?
You'd be surprised if you knew the kind of following truck simulation has in this place. We are not too noisy but we do exist. Hehehe.
I heard one podcast on it and was mortified.

I chuckled at the dark knight story comment.
But no one liked this one
:
EA and Ubisoft clash over 'Ghost' trademark
Casper also getting involved
Why must you turn this place into a den of lies.
OMFG.....that is too much fantasy right there!
But...the PS4 is selling exactly like it should be. Wii U is not....so this makes no sense.
Happy, happy! Joy, joy!

TP is stupid easy, nearly WW levels of easy.
Kojima and Del Toro are back?
