Thank you kind sir although to be fair it doesn't take much to please her.
I would have made a witty retort, but Raven's "he will never have a girlfriend" picture completely brought the room to a dead halt. It's pointless now.
I'm never going to get burned by Trine again. Trine2 was my first digital purchase on the WiiU, and man is that game boring. Sure, it looks good, but as a trade off the camera sits too close to the action, forcing bland level design because you can't fit enough level onto the screen to do anything remotely interesting. Of all the 'puzzles' I solved in that game, I felt like I cheated my way past 2 3rds of them instead of properly solving them.
Honnestly, I liked nothing about that game.
And a new hate list begins...
I'll jump on the hate man-pile. Gorgeous looking, awfully boring games. Waste of whatever I paid for them.

I relunctantly agree. I only finished the first one so my PSN completion % wouldn't be so low, and 2 was a waste of energy and patience on my part that I don't know I'll ever finish. Great looking, but that doesn't save them.

Just listened to (most of) the latest Game Under Podcast today and thought I'd write up some thoughts I had while listening, and I still remember.
- concerning AAA and the size of dev teams, I'm going to restate my point that the current malaise will evaporate in a generation or two as dev tools improve. Sure, now it takes ages to make something like The Order, flawed as it may be, but one day the team size and investment to reach those results will have significantly decreased. And we've said this many times before: but honnestly, how much better looking can games get?
- Concerning Mario Kart, second the opinion that Double Dash was a great game. For all that 8 gets right though, it's tracks were way too wide and one-dimensional. Not enough room for shortcuts that didn't require boosts or true skill to shine through.
- Concerning getting invested in games: there are so many games I want to play, but I lack the time and will to really get invested in anything and I end up not playing a lot of the games I bought over the last year. First time I've ever experienced this
- concerning This War Of Mine, the plan, AntiChamber,... I find it fascinating that gaming is blossoming into a mature medium where there is room for unique experiences that aren't necessairily 'fun' as most games are. Sure, different genres suit different tastes, but now we're seeing games being created that are more sobering than actually fun. Games that you want to experience for other reasons than to be amused, just like there are movies that offer a unique experience, but aren't necessairily enjoyable to watch. Or Literature that's highly regarded, but pure on the level of accessability, are nigh impossible to read. On the other hand, I'm not too sure of how I feel about games that would require an acquired taste.
I'm sure there was more, but this is all I could remember.
Thank you very much for listening. The statement that I put in bold above is a pleasing thought, one that I would not have expressed exactly that way, but it perfectly describes something that I've been coming to grips with. Thank you.
Superb: A hallmark of excellence. There may be flaws, but they are negligible and won't cause massive damage to what is a supreme title. Check out more reviews or the Destructoid score guide.
That doesn't seem like it would describe Revelations 2, or many games for that matter. That is describing RESIDENT EVIL 4. Or Metroid Prime, or Mass Effect. This is why reviews these days are so odd to me....everything seems either overrated or underrated by a large margin.

Wait destruction gave rev 2 a 9?! LOLOLOL. Unless episode 2-4 actually becomes RE4 it is not a 9

Indeed. The jokes are over now.

Shovel Knight expansion! Play as plague knight! FREE! free full new campaign! Amazing!
I think that this is missing the big point, being that there will be SHOVEL KNIGHT PLUSHIES!
This is Destructoid's description of a 9/10 game:

Ahhhh yes... now that game evolves into its next form in which it will crush those who speak ill about it and rain fire down from the heavens!!!!
Screw you guys.
It's not our fault the games are boring! ;P
That box art is ridiculously good looking. If I ever bought a Wii U, I'd buy that one.
Semi-colon P???? After how many years on the internet?
That was meant like this, it was a playful wink. ;P

Hey guys , I read that trine 2 is boring from gaf, what do you think?
Gamespot gave Resident Evil Revelations 2 part 2 a 6.
I'm calling it now, Metal Gear Solid V coming Sept. 1st, 2015.
You heard it here first.
VGPress>GAF>VGPress in this case.
Some of us have been saying that for a while now, there are enough posts around this place to show it.
