To be fair, Nintendo and Amazon haven't had a good business relationship in a long time. Amazon hasn't sold Nintendo systems for several years now, so it's only a matter of time before Amazon stops selling their software too. Nintendo is fine. Ill even bet the Wii U will have sold a very lucrative 10 million consoles by the end of this generation. Don't worry. Reggie's got this!
Are you kidding me, Nintendo has a hit game and they can't keep it in stock at amazon. What a disaster nintendo is buisness wise.
It's high demand for Amiibos too.
The story is about Europe, I guess America got all the copies in advance. The source story says there was a problem at one of the European distribution centers. But the shortages seem to mostly cover bundles involving the GC adapter.
"Further to this, MCV was tipped off by one retailer of what was described as “warehousing problems” with one of Nintendo’s European depots, the result of which was the platform holder being unable to fulfil orders on Smash Bros and other products."
I'm beyond mad, I'm furious. I hereby boycott all Capcom products, will destroy all Capcom products, and will petition online until they correct this travesty!
So. Apparently, according to the manager of the Gamestop where I shop, last night there were groups of 20-something year old guys approaching the salespeople in the stores DEMANDING they hold a midnight release for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. When they were told "No" they held "peaceful protests" outside of the stores and camped out overnight, outside, in the cold to get the game first thing in the morning. Many of the closers last night said there were guys sleeping outside of their stores in tents or gathered around small propane heaters singing "The Heart wants Captain Toad" to the tune of Selena Gomez new song "The Heart wants what it wants." As if this wasn't strange enough...
...this was not an isolated incident and there were stores as many as 70 miles away that were reporting the same kinds of protests...

RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!!!
SF is the only good Capcom product left so you're not really boycotting anything.

I feel ignored and abandoned.

Miyamoto: Are you sure this is a Wii U release for next year?
Aonuma: Yes, all the staff members are working together and doing their best. And what about your star fox title?
Miyamoto: Star fox [laughs], you're asking me that now? No worries about star fox
Aonuma: Oh, that's good news
Miyamoto: Star fox will arrive before the legend of zelda next year.
Aonuma: And before that comes out, we'll release majora's mask
