He stated that their open world won't be most other open world games.  I'm guessing what he means is that you might still need special items to reach certain areas.

I'm guessing it'll be open world like the first zelda, with a lot less hand holding.  I also think that it will be very sparsely populated, with a larger emphasis on travel, thus setting it apart from most open worlds that try to portray a busy city.

Quick Xtype+ impressions:  Really liking this game.  the graphics are very clear, it does what it aims to do with elegance, the price seems right, and it's great to play in 5 minute bursts.  Also, something I just noticed: you can view the replays of everyone on the leaderboards, which is nifty if you suck at the game yourself  Nyaa

2 things irk me about this:

1. I wait years to get a 3DS, convinced that some day, they'll launch a version with dual analogue sticks.  I finally get one and KAPOW!  they screw me like I thought they would after all.

2. It seems like they learned nothing from the 3DS and WiiU, insisting on making things ever more fragmented and confusing.  Who needs 3DS 1.75?  Half the people out there don't know the difference between a DS and a 3DS.  Let alone a 3DSXL or 2DS.  They should have just waited a year or 2 and released something that was named and looked different enough for people to realize it's a different product.

It is a new 3DS and 3DS XL but it is similar to the Gameboy Color and the DSi/DSi XL where it has some exclusives but it plays older 3DS games.
