Seriously, is anyone else shocked at the lack of software on the system to this point? Its worse than any Nintendo console I can remember. When it comes to having a solid variety of must have software, this is easily the worst Nintendo has ever done. I guess they either expected the easy money from Wii to continue over, or they just put WAY too much faith in 3rd-party support. Whatever the case, yeah, easily their worst software showing in a consoles 1st two years.

Personally I think it's down to them underestimating the effort it takes to transition to HD, coupled with their commendable strive for technical perfection.  They should have staffed up way before the WiiU launched to secure a steady output of games, but they did not, and it shows in the number of games they are capable of creating.

Also, while maybe a bit dark, the lack of software might very well be a reason for the high attach rate of their best selling games.  When a lot of people are starved for something to play, it should come as no surprise that everybody jumps on the latest high quality game to be released.
