Yeah it's a bizarre situation. It's going to hurt both Xseed/Marvelous and Natsume. Natsume loses their biggest franchise, and Xseed loses the nearly 20 years of name recognition that the title has. I'm very surprised they didn't just buy the title straight up from Natsume. Granted Natsume could still make their own Harvest Moon games, and think they can make it without the real developer. I wouldn't be shocked to see them team up with ToyBox, the studio that made a couple of the earlier HM games and the recent Hometown story (which was kind of crap). Of course then the question then becomes what do they do with that game in Japan since they can't call it Farm Story or whatever it translates into in Japanese.

Wow this is extremely sad. It's like an abandoned museum. I guess when the company shut down no one knew if they'd be allowed to take anything or not. Or possibly got escorted out of the building before they could.
