Game of Thrones is on... my cable is out. There is no HBO. I'm going to go postal.
Use HBOGo!
I'm glad I'm done with Comcast forever. DirecTV is where it's at.
I just cancelled my HBO with my cable company, so HBOGo may be the future. I can't believe they called my bluff though. I was on the phone with customer support and I decided to play the "pissed off customer" card and asked if they would cancel my HBO package since I didn't really need it anymore. I was anticipating they offering me a discounted rate or a free month or something since I've had it for a year. Without so much as a second going by the rep agreed to cancel it and told me my new rate. So long as I've been adult, anytime I've tried to cancel a premium service someone has always tried to wheel and deal and offer me something to hang around. The one time I bluff.... no argument whatsoever. Shit....
Who is your cable provider?
Brighthouse Networks.
I just flat out ask "Hey, how can you hook me up?" They usually find deals. One time, Comcast was offering a sweet deal on internet for new customers. I called and complained that older customers get the shaft. I got the same deal.
I'm telling you look into DirecTV. I thought it would be outrageous, price wise, but it's quite nice. Comparable, at least.
I have my internet through Brighthouse though, and the cable is bundled with it. For internet they're actually really good so I won't be leaving them anytime soon.
I haven't had cable in about 3 or 4 years now. I don't miss it. I just buy any episodes on Amazon Streaming that I can't watch with antenna; Amazon has them available to stream the next morning.
I've mainly been playing Final Fantasy X HD and still plugging away at Mario & Luigi Dream Team. It's a really good game and I'm surprised no one else here got it. It's also a pretty long game, I'm on the presumably final boss and have over 50 hours logged into it.
Just got the Triple Crown in Mario Golf: World Tour. Played Final Fantasy XIV a good amount this weekend. Lots of very bad stuff going on, so gaming's been my only escape. Glad to have a game as meaty as FF to lose myself in, a game as skill intensive as Mario Golf to distract myself with and a game like Kirby Triple Deluxe to play when I want something simple, colorful and happy. Wish me luck for the foreseeable future, gentlemen, I've gotten more put on my already hurt shoulders than one man should have to handle and there's no relief in sight. Yeah, I'm being cryptic. I just don't want to get into it, but wanted to check in with you all so there's some kind of feeling of normalcy to my weekend.
Of course I wish you the best. I hope it all works out. As usual you need to vent or share anything we are here.
I played Mario and Luigi Inside Bowsers Story, finally got to it. It is incredible how many awesome ideas are put into that game. So many uses of the DS.
I bet ATT will ruin Directv, I am worried.
Target offering and insane 3x trade in deal. You can trade in Infamous SS for $55, thats less than what I paid for it. KZ for like $45. GTAV for like $50. Insane old shit like Smash Bros Melee for $30. Zelda Wind Waker the original GC version for $30. 3DS games like Kid Icarus for $33.
ITS INSANE!

You can trade in games at Target? o_0
Yup, brand new, that is why they are doing it I guess. You need to make sure your target allows it though.
