Is it snowing in Charlotte, Vader?
Ha! As you were asking, I was typing the answer! I got like 6 or 7 hours out of the DEMO. Again, what a great value and way to showcase the game!
This time, last year was when Fire Emblem hit, iirc. It seems Ninty is at least smart enough to put games like these out at the perfect time, when people will be home-bound, for the most part, or will have more time to devote to longer fantasy/rpg games!
PS: In the demo you only have access to a VERY small handful of the jobs too... Can't WAIT to see some of the more exotic ones! I made use of them ALL in the demo!
There's DEFINITELY a fleshed out story in the actual game!
**...but I also don't see the fighting EVER getting old!**
JUST WAIT FOR THAT OPENING SCENE! You are going to be SO. PSYCHED!
And FF Lightning reviews coming in , loads of 7s, GS gave it a 5. At least they say the combat is great.
Thank you Leo!
But odds are I won't pick this game up any time soon and who knows when I will play it.
Travo no snow, I am going to Indiana , no snow either. But it's cold as balls.
Rust (The day z like game with minecraft elements and penises) has sold a million copies in 2 months even though it's still in alpha. Yes a million people paid to test the game.
so this is the next big thing, minecraft, day z, stuff with giant worlds that you help shape or live in. They are selling like mad on PC.
Oh Leo, in the demo there is an ability for white and black magic and one that has both in one... So why would I ever pick the individual ones?
You have like 30 second to answer, quick Leo before I take off!
Downloading the demo now
Man some of these battles are nuts. I go all in with brave points and then in the middle of the round they spawn new enemies, I'm like nooooooooo. So much fun, makes everything unpredictable.
That's the Red Mage/Wizard ability right? Historically in Final Fantasy games Red Mages have a cap and can't learn all of the later level spells that dedicated Black and White Mages will go past. In Final Fantasy V they couldn't learn past level 3 spells, but the tradeoff was the final ability they learned. It was a dual spell that allowed you to cast magic twice per round. I suspect there will be something like that in this game.
I was completely unaware of what Flappy Bird was until last Sunday when a guy kept playing it at the table where I was and I asked if I could see it ... and he told me all about how great and addictive it was. Looked like something from NES remix with Super Mario visuals and a single objective.
This morning I just read on the news that its creater (one guy) has withdrawn it and refuses to sell it anymore even though it was making him over 50000 pounds a day.
Good on you guy, now use that money to make a good game.

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Its such a stupid story. Ohh he made so much money, his life is so hard now. Everyone says the game is complete garbage but you keep playing it cause you dont want the crappy game to beat you.
Me too, but why you?
Killzone toy.
At least in the demo, the Red Mage job can't go past level 3, so you only learn very low level black and white spells, and even then, not ALL of them. It's still handy to have a Black Mage and a White Mage at times. Don't worry, you'll find you'll master 3 or 4 jobs for each of the characters in the demo anyway; it's not like you're going to have to be very choosy with what you have them learn. There are fewer jobs too. I think I had one person master the Red Mage, 2 people Master the Valkyrie, 2 the Wayfarer, 2 the Swordmaster, 2 the Performer, 1 the Ninja, 2 the Knight, One Black Mage and One White Mage. At the end my party had One Ninja, One Knight, One Valkyrie and a White Mage, but they all had their secondary job roles equipped too, so I had a whole slew of spells and skills at my disposal.
You probably get a Dual Casting spell in the actual game, but the reason I liked the Red Mage in the demo was because she could equip a sword and handle it pretty well, iirc --and-- that Support Skill where you get a BP when you took damage, came in very handy at times!
Just finished Mario 3D World....this game is the best true Mario adventure I've played since, well, Super Mario World on the Snes. Better than the Galaxy games. How in the hell did IGN give The Wind Waker HD a higher rating than this game? The fuck are they smoking?
Vita Slim Hitting North America This Spring
Curious to see if this will spark any interest in the handheld, now that it's more or less at a reasonable price. There's still an issue of games on it though. Other than indie stuff and ports, is there anything big coming out for it this year?
Watch Dogs Release Window Announced
Thank heavens, a release window. Is anyone else raising an eyebrow though that it's still a two month window that starts less than 2 months from now as opposed to an actual date? Oh well, screw it. Until it comes on the Wii U (and I don't see much chance of that really happening), I'll be unlikely to pick it up.
Yeah I'm definitely happy with the spring release for Watch Dogs...I thought it was gonna be a fall game for sure. I'm not too nervous about the game, Ubisoft usually delivers on their big titles. And with this being their 1st real "next gen" game, I think it will be fine. I'm thinking a May release date.
