You are right, I should have waited until she left the store then told the staff I'd pay for it and then let them call her. If they were not professional they'd have let me do it (and this being Australia I am sure they would have let me). But my guilt for inaction benefits you, so it almost makes up for it.
Sorry Foolz, Metro 2033 doesn;t want to be beat by me. My save (the game allows only one) has put me in a physical location one level below where the AI friend is with no way for me to get back to them. So from the top down I would be standing right next to them, but instead I am locked in a "basement" below them. And the pseudo cutscene plays out with him progressing and me stuck in the basement.
deep sigh.

Ah... Christmas Morning... There are no gifts under my tree. Truth is, I don't even have a tree, but that's OK. I am home. It's peaceful. I spent the morning writing about games. I plan on playing some Mario 3D World and possibly some Dragon's Crown; maybe taking a walk to get some Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. I have a day off and the time to do with it whatever I want, and THAT'S the best gift of all!

Wind Waker HD is done.
Its a great game and improved on the original, yet its also so close to the original that many of the originals problems are STILL problems now. The fetch quest was still tedius as hell, even though it was changed a bit. IMO this and Metroid Prime 2 have the worst fetch quests in history (and ironic that Nintendo shipped both games around the same period) so merely tweaking them isn't enough to fix them. There are some control issues too...if you don't wanna use the gyro aiming, it can be frustrating trying to aim the bow while holding down a button to shoot and using the stick at the same time.
All the great things anout the game still shine through better than ever though. 8.7 rating from me.
8.8, Edge! All Zelda games should get an 8.8 rating!

I'm playing a little bit of Tomb Raider (PS3) with my PS4 controller. It's so much easier to get headshots now. Love these new sticks! I can't wait for the Definitive Edtion.
