So Order 1886 wont make it to the VGX show. Other games are canceling too. The show will probably suck.

I'll pass on GT6. Release a PS4 version and I am in Sony. It's that easy.

I can see console gaming completely fading out in Japan, hell even here I am not sure there will be proprietary consoles after this new generation, but Ninentdo has owned handheld gaming since they entered the scene and has the option to continue to own that space forever.  It would be easy to see their next handheld and console combine to be something that is portable, HD, and has an HDMI dongle so it can display on your TV.  That would satisfy the Japanese market on several fronts, the western market (where handheld gaming skews younger) and also take away the economic stigma associated with investing in a dedicated home console.

This sounds like something I could live with (and happily game on)

Well Splinter Cell has gotten a lot better. The controls still don't feel very precise though, basic movement- crouched, walking or running feels a little janky, not precise as it should be. The cover lock just isn't reliable, and it needs to be rock solid in a stealth game IMO. You lock by pressing a button but can unlock by pressing back on the control stick. So when you want to slide along a wall in cover you can pop out depending on the camera angle. Other than that the cover rush move isn't a big assy cheat button as suspected initially. There's no realtime wii u pad map so far which seems a huge omission as that's one of the best features in other games like Deus ex.

Gyro controlled second screen sticky cams are awesome. Graphics look pretty decent but it's peppered with low resolution textures, as is the ps3 version. Seems an oversight, 360 has an install for high res textures, Wii U can do them without a an install like NFS but they haven't implemented them here. Still, not a single framerate problem so far and no screen tearing at all, that's cool. Mostly, so far at least most upad functions just let you swap weapons via touch, hardly inspiring, but I'm coming off Deus Ex which is awesome.
