I didn't...much. Actually I uninstalled it again this weekend. Let's see how long before I jump back in again.
In the meantime, and taking into account the wealth of new games a Steam sale brings to my backlog, I've tried out a few of them.
Under the Ocean is an indie game that is part of the Steam Early Access program. That means you can choose to buy a game that is not yet completely developed, and help the indie team complete their vision. The game is currently in alpha stage, which means it's more than rough around the edges. Still, I've liked what I've seen. Basically you're a shipwreck survivor and need to survive through a series of randomly generated islands in order to build something that'll get you back home. The game has a crafting system that lets you combine a lot of stuff you can find lying around the islands in order to improve your chances of survival.
Little Inferno is another indie title. You get to set stuff on fire and that's pretty much what the gameplay is about. Not much more than most ipad time wasters. However, as you burn shit you unlock more shit that eventually can be combined to form combos. With enough progress, you get some story too. Not much more than that. Charming and relaxing.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. First person combat, multiplayer battles, random bellowing, stylish beheadings. Game's pretty fun and it doesn't have a steep learning curve. You learn to swing your sword and jump into a server to GET SHIT DONE. We should try it out sometime.
Faster than Light is a space wandering game with roguelike elements. Which is an elegant way of saying you're going to die horribly 99% of the times you play it. It's pretty fun, though, and much more complex than what you'd be inclined to believe upon first glance.
Surgeon Simulator 2013 is in essence what the title implies, only ridden with the clunkiest controls in the history of ever. Which leads to hilarious ways of killing your patients. The game now has Team Fortress 2 stuff, so that means you get to perform a heart transplant on a Heavy as a Medic. Don't play it expecting any semblance of polish, responsiveness, or basic craftmanship. Expect CHAOS and you'll be in for a fun time.
I just played three rounds of Tetris DS.
Easily my favorite version of Tetris.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI started playing SS2 last week, just to see what it looks like. I was surpsied by how modern it looks.
It's not. The original GB version beats all.
Not better than original, but I'd say on par. Basically it is Nintendofication of the original, lots of fan service. Has some interesting new modes as well.
It's Nintendo themed. I also like some of the extra gameplay types like Puzzle, Mission and Touch.
Just noticed that Australia is basically the shape of the xbox 360 controller.
You can play it with the lights out.
