I feel the same.
Likewise my hopes lie with Japan and small indie studios (at least the ones who make something more substantial than ios games). Nintendo, Sony Japan (TeamICO), Sega, Platinum, Atlus, Grasshoper, Capcom (still hope), Konami (do they still make stuff besides PES?).
Can't wait to get home and play Luigi's Mansion

Stoke sacked Tony Pullis. They did it for all the wrong reasons (small town club getting too wide for their own good thinking he's holding them back) and they will pay the price for it (ie certain relegation next season) but I'm almost as glad to see the back of him as that of Ole Mr Rednose. Sad little man managing a bunch of thugs, playing for 0 - 0 draws, and breaking play every 20 seconds with dangerous bone crunching tackles, injuring opponents. Now I may be able to watch Stoke again when they play against my team next season. Good riddance Mr Pullis.
Now West Ham please sack Sam Allardyce and the EPL will be an even better place.
edit: Does anyone watch premier league football? Foolz? IGA?

As a Chelsea fan you would be glad to see the back of Ferguson.
But even you should surely think it's a shame he won't be around for Mourinho's return. The rivalry between United and Mourinho's Chelsea was special at times, and the gritted teeth respect between the two was a big part of that. That's not gonna be there with Moyes.
I'm among the minority who won't be rejoicing when The Special Mou returns. He is only marginally more positive than the likes of Pullis in that he plays for a 1-0 win as opposed to a 0-0 draw. I also don't believe it's good to "go back" in these matters.
On Ferguson, I just think he is a bully, a terrible person who owes most of his success on intimidation tactics. Intimidating the referees, the board of directors, the FA, politicians, opposition players, opposition managers, his own players ... their wives. Mou was just one of the few who would not be intimidated because he was SAF's equal in arrogance. Happy retirement to him

Pretty impressive that he was such a successful manager without any of it having anything to do with football then.
Extremely impressive! I have to hand it to the guy for making almost everyone involved in English football his bitch for so long.

OXM Editor on second hand games
"On second hand games: you buy disc, it installs, you play from HD. Sell disc, it installs to new console and deactivates your install."
This cannot be true.
My eyes!
Who coined the term, "Xbone"? Amazing! Did anyone get a Xboner while watching that conference yesterday?
Endless Ocean 3 confirmed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay no, this is COD Ghosts.
Impressed, this is your next gen COD
New NFS shot, next gens
Next gen Forza, where is the texture detail?
Enough updates for ya?
GAF is hilarious, the uber bitching has peaked
suddenly "Wii U doesn't look so bad" thread has popped up.
The size in relation to a normal human being.
Fuck you GG, I was legitimately excited. Well, until I saw the crappiness of the screenshot.
What the crap? So Wii U might be the only system that fully supports the used gaming market? Makes sense, nobody is buying new games for it.
I'm sure they would patch it near the end to stop the bullshit. Or keep the servers on for legacy?
Wut?
The hell?! Pretty much. I laughed hard when the woman said Xbox one was the new watercooler. That is what I am calling it now, the watercooler.
That dog model is lower detail than Nintendogs 3DS.
What's going on with Forza next gen?
It has less detail than NFS on PC/Wii U. The AA is better but the detail is so low on the environment it's ridiculous. The cars look good close up in that pic but so do the cars on NFS:
So all the rumors about the new Xbox were true?
What is the official word on the specs? Not as strong as PS4? Why is it so fucking big and stupid looking?
Xbox "ONE"?! Really?
I am all fucking set from what I just skimmed through.....all. Fucking. Set.
Set on Wii U - PS4 duo?
Specs are broadly the same, PS4 RAM is faster, more bandwidth while Xbone uses ESRAM to juggle with slower DDR3 like Wii U does.
Same CPU, assume, MS say the CPU is custom but we pretty much know it's 8 energy efficient Jaguars like PS4.
Xbone GPU is slightly worse, from rumours.
PS4 1.8 teraflops Xbone 1.2 teraflops.
But the real thing here is that Xbone is dedicating 3 GB of RAM for the OS and if rumours are true, a couple of CPU cores too. PS4 used 1.5gb for the OS so for games:
PS4 = 6.5gb - higher speed
Xbone = 5gb - slower speed + 32mb superfast ESRAM
But they did say that it had three OS's and that devs could use all the resources for games - I think? If that is true than the difference in visuals won't be noticible really. RAM isn't a magic bullet but it helps.
Japan on Xbone
Oh man.
Separate Eurogamer view:
As for the rest of Xbox One, though - I will still need a lot of convincing. And I ended up with my own mantra: prove it with games!
OK, there's a vision of sorts for how games can be different, better and stronger, but one of the things that grows ever more wearying with each passing press conference I attend - whether it's Sony, Microsoft or whoever - is the suffocating repetition of the same time-worn language of video game hype. Emotion, immersion, depth, fidelity. A close-up of a man's face. Can we stop looking at a close-up of a man's face? Please? I know what frown lines look like on a man's face - I gain about a dozen of them every time I hear phrases like "stop just watching and start feeling alive".
Bring me some magic. That first time I walked into Computer Exchange in Harrow and saw an import copy of Super Mario 64 and just gasped; that intense sensation that holds you somewhere between the desire to play more and the equally powerful urge to stop so you can tell your friends what you are experiencing: that shouldn't be lightning in a bottle. Flick back through the generation we're still experiencing and I had it the first time I met someone in Journey, or when Peter Molyneux showed me Milo & Kate. It isn't anethema to triple-A, either - the first time Jade Raymond demonstrated Assassin's Creed was exactly the same. "I don't know what that is," she deadpanned as Animus code bled mysteriously at the edge of the screen.
Nobody needs to be told that games will "blur the line between real and virtual". Your soundbites will expand to fill the void of my ambivalence and dispassion. Find parts of your games that carry that promise implicitly with minimal intervention and let them prove it to me.
Next gens biggest threat: apathy?
So not enough of a difference to matter, but the PS4 probably has a slight edge?
Again...why is it so big? I seriously hope the PS4 isn't that big. That's looks like its about 2 times the size of the original Xbox.
