Ah, no it's not. It's March 31st. Oh, that's right, you live in the future.
I've been playing Bioshock Infinite, so awesome. It's one of those games that I have a real difficult time putting down because there always seems to be moments where I want to see what happens next.
Lol, they actually give you drugs for colonoscopies? HTFU people.
Speaking of colons...I mean what I played last week:
And I've almost finished etc.: Raidou Kuzonoha: etc. vs the etc.
I had to look that HTFU up.
I haven't had that procedure yet, but when I do, they are going to DMTFU.
Drug Me The Fuck Up
I would rather die than be in anyway naked in public (including a doctor's office).
I stand by my statement, though. People take bigger, harder, less lubricated shits than that all the time.
I always wonder if people that feel that way would feel the same in a nude society, or in a nude society be horrified at the thought of being seen clothed?
For me to have any medical procedure that involves humans I'd have to be drugged and kidnapped.
EDIT: I dunno, I mean if I could make them equally uncomfrtable that might help. So if they had to take off their clothes too, before asking me to do the same maybe they'd only push the issue when absolutely required.
So what you're saying is that if you ever have a colonoscopy, then the doctor be better be having one at the same time?
Or at least a few drinks and a cuddle first.
Yeah, doctors need to stop skimping on the foreplay. Selfish bastards.
GG, I have to take issue with your contention that consoles have ever been ahead of PC architecture on release. Particularly PC's that have ridiulous $1,000 graphics cards. (like the Titan).
PS1/N64 were no where near what was available on PC in 1995. 2006? I don;t knwo, I was not around enough gaming PC's at that time to compare them to launch 360. Wii U clearly doesn't measure up. PS4 is mid-range PC.
The fact that the 360 launch (or near launch?) game that everyone was so impressed by visually was Call of Duty 2 which was a scaled down PC port says it all, Aspro.
I don't think anybody was impressed by Call Of Duty 2. I remember laughing at it when comparing it to Xbox 180 games like Far Cry Instincts and Half Life 2 that were releasing at the same time. Rare's games were the most impressive looking visually at launch, but even those just looked like super shiny Xbox 1 games.
Yeah, Perfect Dark Zero was like that for sure, but Kamo really looked next-gen to me at launch. I remember seeing it running at Best Buy on a 40" HDTV, and my jaw dropped.
I remember a GS video in which everyone was literally ejaculating on the screen. Gerstmann had a triple orgasm at one stage. And I was just reading an old issue of Hyper, and the reaction was the same. In fact, they said it was easily the best looking 360 launch game.
I'm not saying they were right; it looks crap, but that was their reaction. I can remember being bemused by their reaction due to the crapness, lol. And yet I remember GS complaining about Kameo's graphics, and Hyper the same for the reasons you stated. I thought Kameo looked much better than CoD2, too.
^Yeah me too.
Far Cry and Half-Life 2 barely ran on XB1. COD2 by comparison ran smooth, had those cool smoke effects, not glitching.
The problem was Kameo wasn't a gritty shooter. Therefore it couldn't be impressive.
She could at least have got her tits out.
Not my contention - Cryteks. I was just relaying their perspective. I never expected consoles to have a super expensive GPU. But people are looking at PS4 and Nextbox as if they are beast machines, when the CPUs were made to be low cost, power efficient cores for mobile laptops and the GPU is low to mid-range. RAM is great but doesn't make up for everything. An 8 core Jaguar CPU can probably be equalled by a more powerful quad core setup. And yeah the GPUs from what Digtal Foundry are saying are not that advanced or as future looking as 360's was back in the day.
I am happy with a low level of graphics, I just read a lot. Carmack says that the focus on a single spec means that consoles can usually equal a PC double it's spec.

Played some more Luigi's Mansion 2.
At first I thought it was good for a portable game, then I started really getting into the second mansion and I was like - this is flatout just an excellent game. Very well woven together design, each room is like a little puzzle the whole mansion is connected very well and works like a cross between a RE mansion and a zelda dungeon. It's quite addictive too and the music and sound design is excellent too.
Essential this game, if you own a 3DS I'd say.
