I finished Arkham Asylum and moved on to Tomb Raider. This is my first TR game and its incredible. I love these Metroid type exploration games. It's my GOTY so far.

I've gone through periods of playing only console and only PC games. The times I've only played console games has never been by choice.

I'm currently 44% complete, and the difficulty is ramping up quite a bit. Hard mode is getting pretty damn hard.
Is the difficulty based only on the combat option in the menu?

Yep, that's what I thought. I ask because I clicked on "hard" when I started the game, but I don't think it was actually selected because I saw combat was still on normal in gameplay options. Immediately switched it to high, but hoped I wasn't missing anything because of how easy all the QTEs etc. are.
I don't understand....are you joking? I've been mostly PC for a long while now, basically just using the consoels for mostly exclusives and select games...I thought I've mentioned this. Dude most games are on the PC, so going PC only wouldn't be all that hard to do. The console I would miss the most is Nintendo's because they have the best exclusives. But it could be done.
I don't know what the point of your post is though, I mean why would I need to go one way with anything to prove the validity of that platform? The validity of the PC is obvious if you have the hardware.

Just this whole notion of a super platform to play games is not true, if it was then you can simply buy it and be happy. Of my top ten games this gen 7 are console exclusives so for me PC would be a horrible choice of platform. I know everyone is different, if you love strategy, MMOs and simulation etc PC is by far the way to go. I can play basically all the big PC action/adventure/RPGs on consoles and I still get the exclusives. Of course you have to buy every one to get the exclusives you want.
I feel like I didnt miss out on anything (that I care to play, again stuff like Starcraft and Diablo dont interest me that much) not playing modern PC games this gen. Where say if I didnt have a PS3 I would have missed out some of the greatest games this gen. It cant be the ultimate platform because of that. They all play their part.
