Game companies are auctioning against each other for all of THQs assets right this moment. The auction is going on far longer than they thought so we may not have the results till tomorrow. EA, Ubisoft, Sega, WB all involved. They are bidding piece by piece so one can get one studio, another can get another.

Totally random but I just saw Jack Thompson cry on TV. I was flipping channels and a story on Luther "Luke" Campbell, the lead rapper from 2 Live Crew (Me So Horny), who grew up in Liberty City in Miami which is one of the worst neighborhoods anywhere. Well in the 80s his album was so obscene that Jack Thompson took it to court to get it banned. He won, the lyrics became illegal for anyone to say in public, so of course Luke appealed and won.

Luke is the biggest Miami Hurricanes fan around, he is a huge football fan and in the 80s he decided to use all the money he was making to build a football field in Liberty City and create a pop warner team. Since then he has been the coach for that team which has developed a ton of huge NFL stars (Miami has some if not the best football talent in the world). 2 Live Crew came and went quickly, he spends his time basically coaching these teams and keeping those kids in check in a place where those kids would not have a chance.

Now in the last few years a miami high school wanted to hire Luke as a football coach but in comes Jack Thompson again. He went to court to block Luke from coaching kids in the school system because of his past, he wanted proof that Luke has changed. Again Thompson won, Luke was blocked from being allowed to take the football coaching job so again he had to appeal. It took 3 years but finally he was allowed to become coach.

So the interviewer was talking to Jack Thompson about his quest and how different the two have turned out. Jack Thompson said " we were on the same path together going in different direction. My path ended in me being disbarred" That is where he started to cry, he countinued " And Luke has proven that he is a positive influnce on the youth of that area, and if I had a small part in that I am happy"

Sorry but I cant muster any sympathy for that man. I found the story to be beautiful, to show that a rapper who was as filthy as they come can become a great role model for children and this idiot that made a life out of trying to censor anything he considered indecent become officially disgraced by the state. Justice.

Finally got the Wii U set up! That update was a pain in the ass though. I'm posting from it now.

This sounds like it could be a TV movie starring Cuba Gooding Jr and maaaaaybe ...... Martin Sheen as Thompson.
