But not kangaroos?
That might be expecting a little too much out of 'em, Aspro.
At least they could try.
They sound ridiculous, no one is clamouring for higher resolution. We barely get proper 1080p games this generation and the TV here is all 1080i from what I can see. The size of these 4K TVs is stupid too, I have a 60 inch TV, an over 80" tv is overkill.
It's like Jurassic Park.
Yikes. Keep them away from snakes.
You have a 60 incher?

No thanks.
Sorry, I got mixed up. 50 incher.
A lot of people on here seem to overlook Warhead, maybe because its PC only and was considered more of an expansion pak to Crysis. But Warhead was really just as good as Crysis...definitely a must play. It was better than Crysis 2, easily.
Sometimes I feel like I'm checking the pulse of a corpse just to see if you guys are still alive. No one commented on this story from yesterday?
Rumor: Nextbox delayed to 2014 because of poor processor
The Produced CPU does not pass quality checks
Long story short, Pachter and now Gamestop and now this production report (3 different sources) are saying that Nextbox won't be out till 2014. Well Gamestop said they only expected 1 new console to launch in 2013, Pachter and this article specify Nextbox. Oban (the cpu) is difficult to manurfacture properly, they have low yields and a large number of produced chips that need to be junked. The chips are being made in a such a large quantity that they have to be for production models and not for dev kits. They originally planned for a September 2013 Nextbox release, this is now in jeopardy.
x86 cpu is 32bit
HD7000 GPU is Southern Islands GPU Radeon
64 bit support for the GPU? Which means Oban could be x86-64 meaning a 64 bit variant. Either way Nextbox should be pretty powerful? Anyone know how the HD7000 series compared to Wii U's R700 series customised GPGPU?
^ I dont' see why a poor processor would prevent MS from releasing the 720 in 2013. It didn't stop them last time.
UK article, I used a currency converter to get U.S dollar prices.
"Our approach has been to put our games out on all of the platforms that will support them."
"So far the Wii hasn't fitted into that. Whether Wii U does down the road is TBD."
However:
"I don't think the current generation of consoles are holding us back," Hines continued. There is still plenty that we are able to do visually, technically and from a story-telling standpoint. And there's this huge built-in audience now"
Nice.
I'm suprised, according to the story MS anticipated a low yield and lots of junked chips, so set up shop at many different plants thinking that they needed to have a large enough production, in order to get enough of a yield, of actual, working chips.
Some info from the team making Mass Effect 3 Wii U
So these guys are a port team, but interesting because they have confirmed that they are making a Wii U sku of another big franchise you will know, that is going to launch in 2013

Microsoft's Summer of Arcade 2012 posts uninspiring sales
The only truly awesome game they ever released on Live Arcade IMO was Shadow Complex, the rest of the stuff has been "good, not great". So I can't say I'm surprised by uninspiring sales.
I was thinking the same thing. And what is with these guys and the crappy hardware every time they release something new? Is it so hard to have quality parts from the get go?
Its a step up. The Wii U GPU is based on more of a high end version of the Radeon 4000 series cards, which is what I used to have back in 2009. Its capable of great shit, but running the latest DX11 stuff and more advanced tricks on it may require some work.

This GPU that's supposedly running in the new Xbox and Playstation is from the latest line of Radeon cards, which is likely why they're not coming out until 2014 and likely why they're having trouble building a quality version for a games console. These are based on Radeon's new 7000 series cards, so they're definitely capable of all the latest stuff, even if they are more of a low end version of the series.

My card is a Radeon HD 6950, which is from last year's high end series, the 6000 series family. Its easily capable of doing anything that's thrown at it with just one card, nevermind if I had two of them crossfired. So in theory, the new Xbox and Playstation are based on the most advanced graphics tech out RIGHT NOW, even a step ahead of my current card in my PC...whereas the Wii U is based on high level graphics tech from 2008. Easily beyond the PS3 and 360, but not on the same level as the new PS and Xbox. Though still highly capable.
I know Foolz played it, I think he liked it more than Crysis itself. I'll be picking all three up this weekend.
It seemed like a bogus story to me.
