Thanks for the info Edge. Puts things into context a bit, although the manufacturing problems are with the CPU not GPU. That info you posted is consistent with what Eurogamer devs said about the Wii U GPGPUL
Direct3D support
Direct3D 10.1
Shader Model 4.1
Equivalent. But enhanced with a tesselation unit and Compute Shaders i.e DX11 like features.
It's been a LONG time since a Nintendo game was on the cover of Game Informer. Now that Nintendo Power is dead I guess Nintendo will have to play with the remaing publications (whereas befreo they have not).
In a podcast a few weeks ago one of the Game Infomer guys said something along the lines of being very positive about where gaming is going, particularly "...because of the game he is playing right now, which will be our next cover". So there's a good sign.
Nice looking cover too.

Disgusting
In the translation in todays updates he also talks about the Wii U in general and Rayman. Strange when he talks about memory, we think it's going to be 1.5gb of RAM with the OS using a large chunk. Devs have been given a 1gb limit to use for launch games to play it safe. How is 1gb of RAM "enormous" with almost "no limitations" on memory?
Maybe it is for Rayman.
Resident Evil 6 FAILS, if they don't bring this guy back:
Much like Nintendo, I do not comment on speculation or rumors.
Square Trademarks Circle of Mana
Now this one caught my eye. I loved the early Mana games, but when S-E tried to revitalize the series around 2006 when they did the whole "Year of Mana" thing, they just about killed the series. They put out crap game after crap game to the point where I didn't think they'd even gamble on making another game. Hopefully they'll go back to the original formulas instead of the dungeon crawler, 3-D action, or strategy games that they attempted.
So Microsoft is definitely going with Radeon tech then? I thought there were mumblings of them going back in bed with nVidia?
Skyward Sword was on GI last year.
Snatch fanclub!
