I have to say: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is THE MOST LOVING and FAITHFUL USE of an existing IP --EVER-- ! ! ! "...but, but... What about Batman?" you may ask... Batman was great, but they took the typical Batman mythos and made their own world out of it... especially considering how the last one ended... Transformers makes you FEEL like you are living one of the GREAT G1 cartoons! The nobility and bravery of Prime. The aloofness of Starscream. The cold and disturbing Soundwave. The logic of Perceptor. The cool-ass quips of Jazz... all there!

Prime's few missions felt like a mini-episode in itself, protecting the Ark that will eventually leave Cybertron. CliffJumper's stealth mission with Jazz as his partner in crime was --AWESOME-- ! ! ! Jazz has an AWESOME grappling hook... He and Cliff are trailing Grimlock through a rust-filled ruin.

The world is diverse, alive and AWESOME... The weapons are diverse and AWESOME too... All typical weapons are represented (Shotguns, Rifles, Machine Guns, Snipers), but throw in the Sci-Fi stuff too (Enemy Brainwashers, Acidic Goo, Rebounding Discs, Energon Syphons and Black-Hole bombs) and you get the BEST of both worlds!

You are made to feel INCREDIBLY powerful at times (like when you are directing Metroplex's tactical strikes) but you are humbled at times too, like when you are scouting as Cliffjumper and need to rely on stealth and quick transformations to squeeze and sneak through enemy infested areas. BRILLIANT!

I haven't gotten too far into the game yet. I know I am going to FLIP when I get to play as Grimlock! I can't WAIT to play some of the Decepticon aerial missions, too! So, SO very cool!

Anyone who loved 80's cartoons, ESPECIALLY the original Transformers --NEEDS-- to PLAY. THIS. GAME!

Highmoon Studios ---BETTER--- be planning on a Transformers: The Movie recreation too! What they could do with Unicron, Rodimus, Cyclonus, Galvatron and all of the rest of the Movie Characters would be MIND-BLOWING ! ! !

Poor quality trailer, ex troopers looked good in the N.Direct like a cel-shaded Lost Planet? Animal Crossing looks great, new features, different houses, the interiors were nuts, that sci-fi one. New items and gameplay.

Battle is real-time.  You initiate a battle, then it begins in a fixed-size square where it plays out.  example battle gameplay.
