Thank you buddy. At least it's not too hot today. I was hoping to go out a bit this weekend now the heat has subsided but I don't see it unless I start feeling a lot better

No it was in the 30ies. It's not so much the heat though, it's the smog that makes it worse.

Read the impressions on NSMB2. Still far from sold. Especially after the disappointment that was 3D Land. I wish they'd get their act together to bring out Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion 2 as they were scheduled instead of doing another by-numbers "New" Mario platformer

My H-U-G-E Storm event turned out to be nothing. It got REALLY dark, wind whipped up fiercly, it rained for 20 minutes and then went away. No tornadoes for me!

It's cooler Sunday I hear. The night heat is worse. If I cannot sleep my back plays up and then it gets worse and worse in a cycle of pain.

Leave secret messages for your friends

What Ubisoft didn't tell us at the time is that you can also help your friends in the main story mode by leaving messages.

This new community feature - called Blacklight - allows players to scan environments and reveal messages left by your friends (other survivors). This means you'll be able to help each other out during the adventure and there is even a secret code that you'll discover in the story which gives you the ability to leave secret messages.

This seems like exactly the sort of thing that Nintendo President Satoru Iwata was talking about when he unveiled Miiverse.

Pretty cool, I can imagine leaving some laugh inducing comments around the game for you guys to see. Or penis drawings.

CVG: One of the things we took away from the Crysis 3 E3 demo was the impressive level of polish. It also felt a little looser; a more relaxed game than Crysis 2. Is there a sense that this was the game Crytek really wanted to make with Crysis 2, but that it ran out of time to quite achieve because it was wrestling with consoles and trying to get the graphics engine running on them?
READ: That's actually bang on what happened with Crysis 2. That's not to say we feel that Crysis 2 was a failure by any means. But coming back to delivering Crysis 2 for consoles, that was a huge milestone we really needed to hit, and tech became a bigger focus over some of the hurdles we had of making all of that work on consoles and creating an experience across consoles and PCs.

So this time we have the engine completely ripped apart at this stage, so we have the ability to do Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

It's no secret that consoles are at a stage right now where CryEngine is really pushing the limits of what they're capable of doing. So now that we have that separated out, we can focus on the PC and really giving the PC users that much extra of a visual experience.
