I started Pandora's Tower. Played very little but so far I really love the story. It's really not your typical RPG, in fact it takes a lot more after Studio Ghibli movies like Spirited Away and the games of Fumito Weda. If the gameplay is anywhere near as good then I think I will love this game a lot.

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
It's not worth it, in fact it's better to use the normal wiimote and chuck combo as you need to use the dpad for battle commands and the analog for movement at the same time. With the CC pro you have to take your thumb off one of them to use the other. In the midst of battle it can be annoying and sometimes fatal.
I have tried it with both. CC Pro for this game is a waste of time. You get easier camera movement but it messes up the combat.
I saw a couple of reviews for this, the story was highly praised.
Do you really need to pay $1000 to play Skyrim at 130 FPS?
That graphics card is probably fucking huge too, and won't fit in most towers.
Hell my 6950 Radeon barely fit in my tower. Its bigger than the Wii.
And no, you can buy a badass graphics card for under $300 that will max out any game coming anytime soon. Without crossfire too.
I'm playing Final Fantasy 13.5
Its a great game, I'm having fun with it. Its not classic FF incredible, but still a very solid RPG worth playing. I think I'm over halfway done.
I've been playing more Fire Emblem Sacred Stones.
I think I am finally at the point where I understand everything about the way these games work. Before there were always aspects I missed or didn't fully understand. Now I get everything, support relationships, weapon classes, how the supply works in the field, rescues and dropping, dummy enemies etc.
It's very rewarding. Now I have these uber S rank weapons I have been levelling up my weapon classes and I can use them all. Even badass bosses are do-able with the right person with the right weapon.
I'm not saying it isn't awkward AT FIRST to get used to going from the Wii-Mote to the Classic Controller, because it is --BUT-- once you get used to it (which takes about a half-hour or so) it becomes intuitive and comfortable. Although the nature of the combat can be frantic, I find I have PLENTY of time to choose my attacks using the d-pad. There's almost never a time when I have to run around and make my selections at the same time. The battle system isn't so much dependent on constant movement as it is on how agile your characters are. I find if enemies are going to hit you, if you are not agile enough, they ARE going to hit you, no matter if you are standing still of scrambling around. Your characters attack and dodge automatically. When you are first playing you may not realize this, but if you carefully watch the battles you'll realize all that excessive movement becomes unnecessary. The only time movement matters is when positioning Shulk behind or to the side of an enemy. Once you get used to the flow of the battle, I have found the CC does NOT affect or take away from your battle decision making abilities in the least.
If you are all assuming it is impossible to play because of the stick and d-pad combo, I suggest you try playing with the CC for a good hour or so and then decide. If this was an action game where Shulk was the only character you controlled, I can understand the need to focus, move and make selections all at the same time. The very nature of the battles being in groups where you are supposed to divert the enemies attention FROM Shulk (via Aggro)... Those split-second decisions... not so necessary.

I decided to take a break from XenoBlade, an RPG heavy on story, gathering items and collectibles and 100's of Quests, to play...
Nier, an action-RPG heavy on story, gathering items and collectibles and 100's of Quests...
**Biggest difference between the two: Xeno = 100 hours to do most everything. Nier = 32 hours to do most everything.**
Hey I stopped Xenoblade as well to play another RPG with heavy story, loads of items and quests but it takes only 40 hours.
Is there one person on this planet that ever said "damn all GoW needs is multiplayer!" Whatever. Easily the least excited I have been for a GoW game.
GoW footage right now on the live stream.
Ok, looks interesting and I wonder what an action game like this will be like in versus multiplayer.
Witcher seems more like an action game with loads of RPG elements. I like it but it is a weird mix. There has been the forced stealth section, the avoid the giant monster attacks section, a section where you need to stay in a bubble while enemies came to attack, QTEs, its structured just like an action/adventure game. Which is awesome.
Plus this game reminds me of what a Kain game could be like.
Witcher is exactly what a Kain game should be...I've said that before myself. To myself.
Its...multi-player?
WTF does every fucking game need multi-player or a goddamn companion character for all the sudden?! Is everybody these days afraid to be fucking alone?!
