I played a bit more skyrim, killed my first dragon, explored the first major city fully, did a few side quests. I am still waiting for that wow moment. Its TES, its the Bethesda formula I love so I really do enjoy the game but when I compare it to the last two Fallout games, even New Vegas that I first played a few months ago, I feel like its cover the same ground and not all that better.

I liked both Fallout games more than Oblivion, I find the Fallout games to have more personality. The game world felt like it had better design and I like how it streamlined some of the RPG elements that I feel overcrowd TES. Plus guns are really cool.

While Skyrim definetly has improved in its storytelling the world still feels bland to me. There is very little humor, so many clans, races and complex history. I like my fantasy I but lighter than that, LOTR is probably the perfect template of what I want. The world feels a bit empty to me, am I crazy or did Oblivion have far more stuff littering the world than Skyrim. That said the caves and dungeons I do find have all been different, thank god! They still aren't all that interesting but at least its not the same caverns just put together in different directions over and over. I know the combat feels better but its still so stat driven. For me as a warrior it basically amounts to me checking to see if my stats are better than the enemy (I can tell by how much damage is done) and then just mashing the attack button until they die. TES should really look to Demon's Souls for how to make interesting combat. Plus there is the whole excess item thing that drives me a bit nuts. There are so many crates, chests, cabinets, sacks, etc to look through, and I am the kind of guy that will check everything just to make sure I don't miss anything, I spend way too long in each room. Cant they come up with some system where the game will just let you know where the important items are in the room, or just do away with the million of useless crap in the world.

The best part of these games is always exploring and finding new incredible quests. I guess I haven't reached the good ones yet. Ok I got it all out of my system. I usually find that after I make a kind of negative post about a game the second I jump back into that game I do something that blows me away so I am hoping that happens again. I finally have time to sit and play so my next post should be me far deeper into the game.

OMG that GS review. There is the I complete hate and suck at motion controls review. The guy sounds incompetent at playing this. And he complains it feels like the same game, has he not noticed that every game this holiday feels like the same game.

But the other games this generation are the same game with samer (wat) controls and in HD.

Anyone here ever have the extremely disturbing experience of having someone choke and start to panic while you were the only one cognizant enough to do something about it? It happened to me today, and it's left me a bit shaken. I don't know what it is exactly, but I can't seem to get it out of my head.

ODST did introduce one online component to the franchise and that was the excellent Firefight mode. Unfortunately it wasn't setup with matchmaking enabled and was an invite-only affair. It was still a great new feature and you could still play it solo as well.

The opposite happened to me once. Thankfully, they quickly recovered, and saved my life. Happy

I didn't panic. He choked and panicked. Eyes bulging out of his head and everything. Everything worked out in the end, but I seem to be the kind of person people naturally turn to when things go wrong... One of these days, someone's going to turn to me and I'm not going to be able to help and I don't want to bear the burden of the consequences. This kid couldn't breathe, moreso because he was panicking --NOT-- because the supplement was actually caught in his windpipe and he was begging me to give him Heimlich... I'm not trained to do this! It was scary as hell.

Thanks! It was my mom. I was 12 at the time, and could not breathe at all. She panicked for a couple seconds, and then did the Heimlich. It worked perfectly on the first try. But she didn't know that, and kept repeating it, lol. To this day, I can't eat steak.

I thought I seriously hurt the kid... he was vomitting blood at one point. I thought I broke his ribs or something. The look of terror in his eyes... like he felt his life was in serious danger... and I was the only person that could do something. It had nothing to do with me, but if something would have happened... Can't get over that.

Sad

Ouch! Yeah, that would be difficult to get over something like that.

The worst thing I got from the Heimlich was having wind knocked out of me.

That's fucked up...I don't know how I would react.

I know I've always had this fear of having to give somebody mouth to mouth though....it just weirds me out.

When I was trying to help him... he just kept on vomitting and the look of terror in his eyes got worse and worse. He couldn't tell me if I was making things worse or better. I think I pulled every muscle in my shoulders, neck and back, lifting him off the ground, trying to do something to help him... Thank GOD an ambulance came quickly!

At one point I was thinking: What do I do if he passes out? I was pretty much willing to do anything to help him... which basically included him vomitting all over my arms.

My reaction was fine, I guess, but the 'What if?' scenarios keep on playing in my mind.

He was actually running around the office, looking for 'safe' places to vomit. I kept on telling him: "It doesn't matter. Just get it out, if you can!" He hit everywhere. Carpets, furniture, a coffee bar, me... He was the one whose life was in danger and he was concerned with making a mess. I was trying to calm him. He saw that he threw up all over my hands and was mortified, but I made him know I did not care... People's priorities sometimes...

Only one person needs to react that way Leo, and if it's not you then next time if your fear comes true and it's not you then it will probably be someone else. Happy

I just renewed my Basic Life Support license yesterday. I have never had to be in a situation like that i wonder how I would react. I know what to do so that is a plus. Heimlich you pretty much make a fist place it on their stomach over their bellybutton, circle the fist with your other hand push in and up. I am glad he is ok and you did a great job Leo, don't freak out about it.

It will take like a week before it get's there. If you want me to sent games to you, at least ask for games not released in NA like Disaster and Xenoblade.
