GT sold a bazillion, more than Halo, not as much as GTA. Remember that GTA games outsold Halo games 2:1, its not that close. This gen as one game I think Kart sold more but as a series CoD has been by far the kings of this gen, I bet if they release a Mario Kart each year there would be lots of diminishing returns, its the opposite with CoD.

I am just saying that in general last gen action adventure games and Japanese games were more in the forfront. I dont think that last gen you could say that FPSs were the main genre of the generation. This gen you can absolutely say that.

Over the last two days all of a sudden I got into Assassin's Creed 3 again, I played it for about 15 hours in two days. Nothing really changed, I guess I played a few more of the main missions and the game hooked me again. Its one of those sequels where it is the best in the series but its not as big an improvement as 1 to 2 was, there is a bit of gameplay fatigue as its the same formula each year.

I miss Faith Hill's small dress from last year.

While I normally LOVE anticipating the somewhat obscure... now they only serve as distractions!

I've finished about half of Gears of War 3's campaign. It's just amazing, surpassing the other two in story, dialogue, gameplay anf fun.  Multiplayer is also incredibly varied and fun.   The horde matchup  we had last night was unsurpassed.  Yep, it's my GOTY so far.

Been playing Alpha Protocol. It was $2 on Steam so even though I've heard a lot about it being janky in true Obsidian fashion, I wanted to give it a try. Not disappointed so far. Had to restart because I fucked up things by not taking the tutorials, and right now I'm right before tackling my very first mission, in Saudi Arabia. Gunplay is meh, but stealth is nicely done. AI seems to be poop. But the conversation and characters have been top tier so far.

I really don't know. Never really played Deus Ex and haven't played Human Revolution either.

The conversations are bloody boss in that game. Keep at it, because they get crazy awesome.
