Just played a couple demos: Limbo, which is very atmospheric and that's about all it has going for it. And Anomaly: Warzone Earth, which is a pretty cool take on the tower defense genre making it actually a tower offense game. I'll probably get the latter since it's a midweek madness deal and skip the former until it's dirt cheap on Steam.
Limbo is so bad you'll want to crap in your pants just so you can clean them and have something else to do.
YeaH Limbo was disappointing after all the raving about it. I have no motivation to finish it. It's boring and drab.
I just started Epic Mickey, got past Its a Small World and started the next world after mean street USA which is the toon town. The gameplay is so basic, it almost feels like a long lost PS1 game. There is the slightest hint of a Deus Ex like choose your own path kind of thing but its very basic and usually involves only two different paths. Combat is almost non existant, so is platforming. In fact I dont know what i have been doing, I guess exploration with fetch quests. Clearly they could have done more but the setting and story has me totally hooked since I am a huge Disney fan.
OH HO.
That'd be Batman from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.
Though goddamn, I want that Animated Series Batman. Always my favourite Batman.
Seeing the Ape Escape game being Move only has seriously put me over the edge. Though I've not heard great things about said game.
Oh boy
Aspro, that deathmatch we played last night was so good, easily one of my favorites out of all the deathmatches I've played. It was down to the wire to the very end, which is what I like.
BTW, sorry for fucking up co-op last night.
Welcome to N64 era of 'platformers'
I played Pilotwings 3DS this morning, seems pretty cool, I would like to get it when its cheaper.
Free 20 games, 10 gba games, 10 NES games
It must be based on Frank Millers heavier, older Batman in the Dark Knight Returns and the Dark Knight Strikes again.
Note: The game only really begins properly at Mean Street, the game you've played so far is just foreplay.

Unfinished SNES sequel used Super FX Chip 2.
The SNES was to get Star Fox 2, a game that made use of a version of the Super FX chip with expanded memory, called the Super FX Chip 2. Shigeru Miyamoto and Q-Games' Dylan Cuthbert discussed the project, which went on to become Star Fox 64, in an edition of Iwata Asks.
"Yeah. We had quite a script for Star Fox 2 and had it running, with robots morphing and running, and attempted an all-range mode in which you could fly a full 360 degrees," said Miyamoto. "We expanded the Super FX chip's memory to make something called Super FX Chip 2."
"That became the basis for Star Fox 64. For Star Fox 2, we had really pressed the boundaries, like by having Arwing fly around a full 360 degrees, flying to one extreme and then back again," he added.
Dylan Cuthbert commented on the time it took to develop the Super FX Chip 2, and Miyamoto revealed how other companies were pulling ahead in terms of polygon graphics.
"And other companies' game consoles were using polygons all over the place, so we didn't think we could catch up even if we stuck this expensive chip in the cartridge, so we rethought it," Miyamoto said.
The game eventually turned into Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 64.
"It started shaping up in a number of ways as soon as we began developing Star Fox 64," said Miyamoto, "like with it being a shooting game even as various characters show up and you talk with them in an unfolding drama, and like how you have teammates, and if one of them gets done in by an opponent and drops out, it syncs perfectly with the game."
That's him on the right of the centre, also they have the Batman Beyond outfit on the far left, though muscled up and with a different headpiece he looks more like Marvel's Black Panther.
2K Games has confirmed that it is working on a sequel to Gearbox Software's popular shooter Borderlands.
Borderlands 2 will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC during Take-Two's next financial year, which begins on April 1st, 2012.
A first look at the game will be available to members of the press and consumers at both Gamescom 2011 and the Penny Arcade Expo.
So far, all 2K is willing to say on the game's features so far is this: "Borderlands 2 features all new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story. Players will reveal secrets, and escalate mysteries of the Borderlands universe as they adventure across the unexplored new areas of Pandora."
Yay!!
Yeah Resistance is shockingly drab and boring coming from the same guys that make Ratchet & Clank. Even the weapons are boring....you'd think they would have been a highlight.
I will probably pass on Borderlands 2, unless its a big improvement over the original. The game was just too repetitive for me to care about doing the same thing again for a sequel.
