What's going on in the gaming front tonight, fellas? I'm gonna get in some Resistance and Outland time, but if anyone is interested in some Uncharted 2 mp, I'm game.
Don't you know? No matter how innovative it is nothing in a sports game can be referred to as innovative by the media beyond the context of its own genre. It's like calling a Wii game good, but not following it by "for a Wii game".
Missed you by a few hours I think. Resistance FOM has online? I'd like to give that a try some time.
Yeah, there is a lot of craft that goes into them. But what can you do? It's the same with deep sim racers -- "Huh, yeah, looks pretty".
I kinda meant that that's basically BS.
Before you claim someone failed, how about you click on the arithmetic mean link.
Madworld had funny commentary too.
I said it was "pretty average" not "pretty arithmetic mean".
Yeah I know. We are on the same page.
They are synonyms.
Question how you describe a average game? What does an average game look like?
An average game to me is one that breaks no new ground. It does nothing to distinguish itself. A game that is competant, and worth the money paid for it, but not worth recommending.
Iwata's salary is half what it used to be.
Your original comment was
And then you explained average.
There is were the problem lies. Average it itself does not mean anything. Some would say that an average game is a good game seeing as the metacritic average of all games is around 70%. Others might think an average game is not good or bad. Or the average game is crap and so on.
What is an average secretary, or an average student? An unremarkble student/secretary? What if all the students are remarkble and weird, would that mean that an average student is remarkable?Solving this is easy, to using average to decribe things. Or in your case
Now don't get me started on art.

Carpe Fulgur's (dudes who localised Recettear) next game looks pretty interesting. Skip to 1m8s.

Their just released one, Chantelise, seems crap to me, while this looks like Recettear meets Princess Crown.

In stunned silence I sit, as the credits roll on Bastion...
A game that deserves a '10' almost more than any other. It is quite literally the closest to a perfect game I have ever played yet.
I just handed out an Apsro style +1. To Aspro himself.
And then my head exploded.
Good....that's all he deserves. Is the other half now going to Yamauchi?
If your dad gets like dementia or something you're going to lock the gun cupboard right?
I think it's stupid, once a game gets past version 4, they should just give it a subtitle.
Awesome thanks, I'm inching towards buying this game, if only because it's being denied to our American brothers.
Really happy that the Hong Kong True Crime may be released, as someone who loves Shenmue 2 and watches a lot of HK movies.
WTF is going on here? In Austrailia if you get the first print of Xenblade you get a free soundtrack CD.
Now in France if your order early you can get a free art book.
Here in England? Nothing but that red CC that you have to pay for.
BTW I got my Ocarina of time CD in the mail from the 3ds game. It's the MIDI 3ds music with that one orchestral track at the end. I think it would be better to get the Zelda big band CD from Japan.
Your latest sneaky way to get a 3DS now and grab the price drop
I'm not too sure I would feel right doing this myself, but I know there are plenty of people that wouldn't mind going for this method. I'm not here to judge, just to provide info! This latest method involves Best Buy.
- Best Buy has a 30-day price guarantee
- this means that if the price drops within 30 days of your purchase they will credit you the difference
- purchase a 3DS now for $250 and connect to eShop prior to August 12th to qualify for the 20 free games
- after price drop, take your receipt to Best Buy and get your $80 back
From my understanding, Best Buy is aware of the price drop and doesn't take issue with those that go for this deal.
