Monolith and Mistwalker probably do not care. Nintendo probably paid up front and both companies said that Nintendo let them finish the game when it was done and they both had a decent budget.
BTW there is stil hope Nintendo of France should not know the internal workings of NOA. So they still might release it and if they don't, just import it.
^I like this kid.
NOA just seems like they want to go ahead and kill the Wii. Hell if they had their way I'm sure they wouldn't have even wanted Skyward Sword to come out for it. I could make guesses on the logic for it, but I'd be wrong because I'm sure reasonable and sensible thought wouldn't enter into it.
I'm sort of torn on what to do with these jRPGs though. Even with the homebrew loaders EU games still require an HDTV to be played on. Otherwise they turn out black and white and the game doesn't quite fit on the screen. Currently my Wii is hooked up to a monster sized SDTV that I have upstairs for the kids. I suppose I'll wait for reviews on the games and see if they'll be worth moving things around for.
Xenoblade is definily worth it. People at gaf say it is the best console RPG in years. I rather trust people that played it that marketing guys that get paid for giving high scores and can't game for shit.
Microsoft clearly didn't want to fund another Mistwalker game after Blue Dragon. The Last Story exists thanks to Nintendo (of Japan), and they had a hand in its creation too, approving and suggesting changes.
At least we're getting Xenoblade here so I'm happy. The Last Story is a possibilty also since Sakaguchi & all of Mistwalker don't stop claiming "more information to come" when asked about it, and there's that new NoE release list leak that includes it, though it's so far that they may well change plans by then.
Anyway, the first hour of another Wii JRPG that isn't likely to be released everywhere. It's not of Xenoblade or The Last Story caliber (it's by a small studio of ex-Capcom developers) but it looks nicely quirky and 90s like.
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

Earth Seeker has a imagative creature design. Of course it will not be released in NA because it lacks teh brown, maybe just maybe NOE will come through again.
It's not Nintendo published so anyone could pick it up.

Hmm, so it has a good chance to be localized. If X-seed is willing to localize Fragile, than this is no brainer. Probably will take a while for it to be translated.
Hey at least you guys got Excitebots, we Euros never got the chance to play that. Fuck you NOE!
I wish they would put Fatal Frame 4 and the new Wii Fatal Frame game on 3DS.
No interest for Second Sight sequel - Crytek You hear that Iga?
Loud and clear
Would make so much sense on the Wii with motionplus
That's probably why you liked it so much, (and there is nothing wrong with that).
Q1 was more of a typical style "id" leap, the rest were felt more like expansions. I don't think they sucked, they just are not as good as the first one, or other id games.
The PS2 was not lacking in it's abilty to produce color, so if the designers wanted it in the game it would be there. So far HD re-makes have been just graphical upgrades, not artisitic re-interpretations. Why would they change the artistic choices of the original design?
Do you really think NOA makes ANY decisions for themselves? It's all out of Japan.
Your eyes thank NOE for that one. Ebots is a jagfest.
So Gamasutra had an article talking about Gaikai and OnLive, what each would have to do to win the on-deman game streaming biz...
OnLive wins on name alone right?

So EA is the suitor for Popcap for $1 billion USD... That's a hell of a hail mary pass.
I do not think so. Why would NCL authorize Euro release of Xenoblade and not an American release? The market of RPGs is bigger in North America!
Ummmmm because I don't like the original design and if they knew what was good for them they'd change it so I'd buy it. Duh!
For those of you playing Outland I have a question. Not to further my reputation as the guy who hates everythng, but does the game get good? I just played through the demo and it seems like a pretty average game to me. It's all solid, runs smoothly and the art style is interesting, but I don't really see anything that makes me want to play more. 2D platformers aren't really lacking anymore and frankly Lost Winds, DKC Returns, and NyxQuest all put this game to shame.
Tiger Woods 99 for sale. (It was pulled because it contained an unauthorized Southpark AVI file).
Nintendo has been very cynical about what US gamers are capable of. I think they see the EU market as being more enthusiasts and a bit more sophisticated (seeing how much more you pay for the privelege of being gamers). It may even be a big FU to the US after they published all those Square DQ games that didn't see much support.
