Shinobi? Sweet! Sega is on fire lately.
Im off to Manhattan.
For us Hockey is something not played on ice and usually only at the Olympics. And usually by girls.
Considering how much you travel, do you get much spotpass or streetpass 3DS activity?
What do you guys think about Ubisofts E3 lineup?
- Assassin’s Creed Revelations
- Call of Juarez: The Cartel
- Driver San Francisco
- Rayman Origins
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier
- MotionSports Adrenaline
- Rocksmith
- New Raving Rabbids, Just Dance and Your Shape
AC: Revelations could be fun. I enjoyed Brotherhood a lot (probably will go back to it once I'm done with LA Noire), so I look forward to seeing where the series goes from here.
Call of Juarez: The Cartel is something I'm really lookiing forward to. RDR reignited my interest in Westerns, so hopefully this will be half as good as that.
Everything else I really don't care too much about. I never liked Rayman and while I liked the Rabbids at first the franchise has gotten completely over-exposed and has really suffered from it.
By the way, does anyone here own a tablet? I'm considering one, in an effort to separate my work and free-time surfing. Right now I have one laptop for all of it, and I need to stop that, but I don't think a second laptop is the way to go.
Isn't Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare that Dreamcast game from 2001 that was a complete Resident Evil ripoff, but nowhere near as good? Why yes....yes it is. Huge news for PSN.
Ubisoft's E3 lineup doesn't blow me away, but its not bad either. Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon should be good shit. Wouldn't it be interesting if Beyond Good & Evil 2 ended up being a big exclusive launch game for Nintendo Stream?
See, its situations like this where companies always drop the ball. Having that as a major launch game would be the best chance to ever turn it into a franchise people care about.
I think it would be good for a launch title the only problem is they would also have to release the HD remake of the first one on the Nintendo Stream since that is on 360 and PS3.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Mass Effect 2 guys, do I have to have finished the first game to get this one? I never did polish off the first.
And why would you NOT want to finish one of the best games of the generation?!
Well Beyond Good & Evil did come out on the Gamecube so the Nintendo audience is familiar with the series. Well...as familiar as anyone else since the game bombed. But yeah it would be nice to get the HDmake too.

Steel second opinion time.
As you already know I carry the bacteria Helicobacter pylori. My sickness was thought to come from that bacteria. So I got PantoPAc.
PantoPac is a 7 day threatment, where I have to swallow 3 pills in the morning and 3 pills in the evening. The pills are:
1) pantoprazol
2) amoxicilline
3) claritromycine
I started my treatment Saturday, and the day went alright
The second day I had to crap like 4 times. It was not diarrhea, the poo looked dusty. Because I had eaten goulash, I think the food was too heavy.
The next day (Monday) I woke up with a severe case of morning sickness. I remained calm, ate something, drank a lot and went to work. I thought maybe it is the medicine, but maybe it is the food I ate. So when I got home I ate very lightly and that was it.
The next morning I woke up with an even more severe case of morning sickness. I actually begun to throw up all the time, but nothing came out. There was nothing in my stomach, so I just threw up spit and eventually some yellow stuff, I think it was bile. This lasted for 3 hours.
So I went to the doctor. I was very lightheaded, so walking was a problem. Eventually I got there and started throwing up because the assistant told me to lie down. The doctor checked me and immediately sent me to get my blood taken, so they can see if there is something wrong with my liver. I also got something against throwing up. It was a capsule called primpéran that is inserted from the rear end.
So after inserting said pill and sleeping a bit at home, me and the old man went to the lab to get my blood taken. Again was lightheaded, so walking there went slowly, but eventually we got there. Blood was taken and after walking home, I got a phone call by the doctor. The results were in and nothing is wrong with my liver.
The doctor suggested that I try Primpéran together with PantoPac to see if I can manage it without throwing up. Seeing as that can be one of the side effects of the medicine. Well I took another Primpéran and half hour later I took one dose of PantoPac. And boy did it not go well. I tried closing my eyes and breathing calmly. But no matter what I died, I would not stay in. Eventually I threw everything out again.
So now it was late in the evening, the doctor was not there. So we called a doctor that is on 24-7. After explaining everything to him and he consulting a doctor he said that we should try the drug Domperidon. Which we already had in house. So I took it the sickness went away, slowly but steady.
Today my sickness is gone, the doctor called again, and I explained what happened. He said that I need to quit using PantoPac because my body can't handle it. His advice start eating slowly, build it up and get back to health. If I am stabilized, they will run new tests to see if somthing is still wrong with me. There is a possibility that Helicobacter pylori was not the reason why I was sick.
I am still a bit lightheaded, because I have not eaten much and probably lost a lot of fluids. The sickness in my stomach is gone though. Tomorrow I will try to get some of my weight back on, slowly.
Steel what is your opinion about this? What could it be?
Say hi to Walternate for me.
There is a definite chance you experienced an adverse reaction to one or more of PantoPac's components. The fact the nausea and vomiting started shortly after beginning the treament and improved upon its discontinuation supports that. Both Primperan and Domperidone are prokinetic medications, which means they increase the speed at which your gut moves, helping your stomach to empty and thus diminishing nausea. They also have antiemetic properties.
H. pylori is often associated to peptic disease, but like I said in my previous post a few days ago, the presentation of peptic illness does no usually associate with nausea/vomiting in such a prominent fashion, the way you experienced it. Most events of diarrhea and vomit can be associated to self-limiting food poisoning, and are handled best with a conservative approach, fluids and vigilance. Some bacterial infections such as the one caused by E. coli, or viral diseases, can also present like that. At any rate, the recommended approach would be improve your weight and fluid loss, stop antibiotics and remain vigilant as to the possibility of the recurrence of gastrointestinal symptoms. If those reappear, a more thorough assessment should be warranted.
Yeah, I decided to stop using Domperidone. I am not feeling sick anymore and I need to gain some weight. Having my stomach contents pushed though my intestines would not help. If I feel sick, I will take it again. I am also drinking water with glucose and minerals to rehydrate myself. I tastes like Aquarius.
So tomorrow would be focussed on getting my strength back. Of course there is the problem of my job. I have been sick for 7 days in the last 15. Not sure if they will accept that, but it is outside of my control and I do not worry about it. Besides unemployement can be fun.
