Rayman Looks good. Rocksmith is DOA, Driver is DOA. AssCreed will sell millions regardless. Cartel looks like Kane and Lynch 2, but I respect them for changing it up. I'd like to see Ghost Recon come back. The rest is casual garbage.
I wish I had one for reading long-form articles. Choices now are HP Touchpad, Apple and RIM's Playbook -- they are all in the same price category. If you are already aprticipating in the Apple ecosystem it seems like that would be the way to go.
Remember though, if you can wrangle an .edu email you can get a free 360 if you buy a Windows 7 laptop or PC. For a free 360 it may be worth considering a laptop over a tablet.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD Coming to PS3
Who cares about Foolz and what he wants? I want this! This makes me happy!
Yeah I know about the 360 offer. My step-daughter has an edu account so it is possible, but honestly the only real value I'd get from it would be selling it. There's only a small handful of exclusives that I'd want to play on it.
As far as the tablet goes I'm leaning towards something that runs an Android system. As a general principal I try to stay away from Apple products, though as for as tablets go they really do seem to be the best ones out there.
Good pic, though it's tough to tell just how good those costumes are thanks to the photoshopping.
14 Year Old Brought Down XBL
The last line of this article shows you that Microsoft has some pretty sharp guys working for them:
Microsoft is now working with the Tallaght teenager so as to develop his talent and skills for "legitimate purposes."
Smartest thing they could do. Make the next gen of hackers your employees.
For those of you interested in the MMA, here is an interview with the plastic surgeon from Las Vegas who stitches them back together.

I still like these glam shots, even though they are fixed up.
Yeah they reached out to GeoHotz at the time of his rising notoriety as well. It shows an inventive mind, they should hire them. After listeneing to interviews with Cap'n Crunch and Steve Wozniak, these types of minds just like to know how systems work -- it's pure curiosity.
But for the glare-- and again, if you are not in the Apple ecosystem already, why go down that road? Android would be smart for the wealth of available products, I just don't know of any comparably priced Android tablets.
Well right now the Android tablet market is much more shallow, and that's what's holding me back. It hasn't really come along as well as it did on the mobile market. From what I've read the apps are fewer and tend to be less reliable. But again the freedom of what you can do with Android systems is always a huge plus and ultimately it's what I prefer. The one I'm looking at is the Acer Iconia. The biggest knock that it gets is that it's the heaviest on the market at 1.69 pounds. Not a huge problem in my book.
Actually Stranger's Wrath is one of the few games that could actually benefit from an HD remake.
At least they've got the scarf mechanics back in. That was one of the coolest things in that PS2 game.

So I'm playing DQ6. If this was a class and we were having a final on the story of this game, or even having to write a paper demonstrating that I grasped what the basic concepts of this game were, I'd get a D.
It's not the game's fault. I think.
But I can't be bothered.
Harsh.
It looks okay.
Out of the Ubisoft lineup the only game that interests me is Assasins Creed Revelations - but it needs to be significantly different or new for me to feel its worthwhile to buy. And then only Rayman Origins, but only if it comes to 3DS. I want new stuff to play on this handheld.
Some translated info
Shinobi 3DS will be an action side-scrolling game in 2.5D. SEGA haven't told us the secret identity of the hero but it is known that it will be about a new ninja which will fight using a katana. It will be possible to carry out air combos and to thus juggle with the enemies. Among your artful thrusts, you will be able to catch the enemies by far via the refill of kunai. You will be able to also attack by using fire, water, the lightning, and of the black magic.
You will be able to carry out double jumps and evasive slides, a hook will enable you to reach perched high places and you will be able to suspend you the upside down. The R button will be used to avoid the attacks.
When the adventure begins, the Oboro village is made attack by unknown forces. Obviously, the hero lives in this village and the facts will justify your mission. The developers specify that the levels will be dynamic, with bridges which collapse while you penetrate in a temple, or buildings which fall in ruins in the background while explosions shake the landscape

WTF WTF!
You know Zelda 3DS the graphics are improved but music seems the same as the N64 version? The latest Iwata asks is with Yokota, the guy who did the orchestral music in super mario galaxy.
It's all in japanese at the moment but we have a couple of nuggests via GAF:
This particular section seems to speak speak of them reproducing the original music with orchestra for the 3DS. It seems Nintendo has been holding out on people with demos and such not having final music.
Please God that would be amazing. But then translations say that its only for one song.
Yokota also talks about the 3DS speakers in general, he talks about how when playing with surround mode there is quite some distinction. Lon lon ranch is mentioned as an example, and specifically the mini-game where you have to catch 3 super cockerels. When you play the mini-game and with surround mode, you'll hear those cockerels making a sound from all kinds of directions.
Okay, I just looked at the second page (the link that was posted here is the fourth page) and can definitely say that the songs are re-arranged.
It was decided about a year ago on March that Yokota would be in charge. In that time it wasn't decided who would work on OOT 3DS, Koji Kondo (the original composer of Ocarina of Time) thought to leave it up to a young person and he decided Yokota would be in charge. He was arranging the songs to sound more up to date but suddenly Koji Kondo emphasised and adviced him to reproduce the songs in a faithful manner from the N64 version. It was sudden and Koji Kondo got furious. Iwata asked if he was really furious and Yokota answered he really was and laughed. After that, Yokota assembled the whole development team and told them to fix all the songs, they had to sound faithful to the N64 version. And every song was fixed.
But then someone else said:
The music isn't "redone." Yokota was responsible for "porting" the music to the new sound engine. The music is faithful to the N64 version. Think of this like Mitsuda's role in Chrono Trigger DS.
Yokota is working on Skyward sword
Apparentely he did the music for that Twilight Princess trailer. You can hear it, it sounds like his work on Mario galaxy.
