Catherine delux $80 USD... Oh boy... Well, if the game sucks, at least you have a love pillow.
I'm sorry if I'm asking for info which has already been provided but I remember reading about how the western release of Catherine has been censored. Does anyone have more details as to how it has been altered what has been cut off etc?
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Were there any good reviews of Catherine? I only remember reading some previews of the Japanese version by American gamers who all generally said the same thing. It's ridiculously hard, and not fun in the slightest.
That's a good question. I'd like to hear the answer too. I don't recall them ever saying anything more other than it would be censored.
Is it really possible for a camera that picks up motions to get a good game, when you have no controller to actually input commands of any kind?
I've said it before, and I believe something like that will only ever be neat as a secondary enhancement to an actual real controller in your hands...and even then its a gimmick. And turning studios like Rare into motion-camera ONLY developers, seriously limiting their talent and to that one small area, is fucking retarded.
"Silicon Knights on Too Human: We Intend to Finish the Trilogy"
Is this really smart? I know Dyack had been dreaming of this idea since the PS1 days (and the version back then looked like a more interesting game, honestly) but it may be a good idea to just move on man. The game was not popular nor highly rated, so why commit to making 3 of them? At the most, do one more epic that finishes the story, and fixes the gameplay problems, and hope people like it. Otherwise, you'd be better off making a new Eternal Darkness on the Cafe.....a game that actually has positive memories, was well rated, and has a nice cult following. "
Yay MK DLC this week, I cant wait to... oh.
Customer Service Notification
May 2, 2011
Dear Valued Sony Online Entertainment Customer:
Our ongoing investigation of illegal intrusions into Sony Online Entertainment systems has discovered that hackers may have obtained personal customer information from SOE systems. We are today advising you that the personal information you provided us in connection with your SOE account may have been stolen in a cyber-attack. Stolen information includes, to the extent you provided it to us, the following: name, address (city, state, zip, country), email address, gender, birthdate, phone number, login name and hashed password.
Customers outside the United States should be advised that we further discovered evidence that information from an outdated database from 2007 containing approximately 12,700 non-US customer credit or debit card numbers and expiration dates (but not credit card security codes) and about 10,700 direct debit records listing bank account numbers of certain customers in Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Spain may have also been obtained - we will be notifying each of those customers promptly.
There is no evidence that our main credit card database was compromised. It is in a completely separate and secured environment.
We had previously believed that SOE customer data had not been obtained in the cyber-attacks on the company, but on May 1st we concluded that SOE account information may have been stolen and we are notifying you as soon as possible.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the attack and as a result, we have:
1) Temporarily turned off all SOE game services;
2) Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full and complete investigation into what happened; and
3) Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network infrastructure to provide you with greater protection of your personal information.
Damn I'm so glad I don't play those MMOLRPGs, my info is exposed enough. Nothing is safe ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!
I'm hearing it is tough to find them right now in the US without Kinect.
EDIT just a quick look online and seems to be plenty, guess there was a restock, few days ago not many now tons.
My local Best Buy, Walmart, and Target stores have a real hard time keeping standalone 4GB and 250GB Xbox 360s in stock. There's always a bunch of Kinect bundles, though. I was lucky when I found my 4GB; it was the last one BB had too.
Only the cover has changed. If you look at the original story I posted a couple of weeks ago it shows both covers. I think it's ESRB related -- recall their rule about acts of violence being depicted on covers. The "censored" covers are just tighter shots of the Japanese covers, and I think htey said the original covers will be on the inside (reversible, like with XSEED games).
I liked the story and the inventory system, besides that nothing else.
That's the first I've heard of it. All the other anecdotes are about not being able to find a 360 that isn't bundled -- so I guess it varies region by region.
Sony Addresses Various Rumors - Sony wasn't offered ransom request.
Fallout: New Vegas is finished and for sale...moving on! 3D Dot Game Heroes is pretty cool, but I want to get through Heavy Rain first. Once my copy of Demon's Souls comes in, I promised myself I wouldn't purchase anymore games till I cleared at least five games from my backlog. 1 down, four to go! I will simultaneously play the Undead Nightmare pack for RDR and Heavy Rain.
Fuu.....24 minute update for Heavy Rain.
