Glad you're enjoying Castlevania: LoS Leo, I'm looking forward to the upcoming dlc.
I've been a busy gamer this last week. I finished Dark Void and just recently finished Brutal Legend. DV was a pretty fun game, nothing great but a good $10 pick-up. BL was excellent though. Awesome soundtrack, excellent voice-overs, and just a whole lot of fun to play all around. A steal at $10.Glad to hear you got a blow job Leo. But really is that different than any other Sunday for you?
Anyway as far as my gaming habits goes I've pretty much been splitting my time between Marvel v Capcom 3 and Dragon Quest 6, which I broke down and picked up on Friday. MvC3 is entertaining and pretty much what I expected it to be. Good fan service wrapped around what is otherwise a pretty standard fighting game. But the fan service really is top notch so it's addictive and my other comic book junkie friends have also been enjoying it.
Dragon Quest 6 is pretty much a standard jRPG, though that was what I expected. I'm around 3 or 4 hours into it and it's good for what it is, but right now it's still just another 90's jRPG that feels like game that's 10+ years old. Hopefully once I access the class change system it'll start to perk up a bit. This game clocks in at around 60+ hours though so I'm not sure entirely sure I'll be able to make it all the way through at this point.
Only Serious Sam 2 (XB) and Dragon Quest 5 this week. Been a glum week for me gaming-wise, so I figured I may as well wallow in the deepest muck I could find.
I will be making a big thread tomorrow and will be celebrating by playing the game most responsible for me being the gamer I am today.
I hope you like Enslaved, I ended up giving it a 9.5.
I actually play action games, I am tougher to please.
Just finished watching Iron Man 2 on Blu-ray. Great movie! Well worth the $9 I paid for it.
Yay for Pac-Man!!! Always a good time.
Didn't you give Arkham a great score?
Just got by a BITCH of a Stage in CastleVania: Lords of Shadow!
You will be pushed to the limits of your patience when you finally meet Baba Yaga and her FUCKIN' Music Box!
The ONLY cool thing about this segment is the SONG the Music box is playing. You'll see...!
Was immediately thrown into the Land of the Dead, then the Titan's Graveyard where I found one of the best quotes I've heard in a game for a long, long while:
"There's no place in Heaven for us when we become what we fight against."
Yeah. That quote? TOTALLY Kojima!
I can't stress enough just how diverse the environments and puzzles are in Lords of Shadow. The game is really EXTRAORDINARY!
Even the simplest of stages like the bleak and desolate Titan's Graveyard... Wow! It LOOKS innocent enough 'til your start using rune keys and you realize the island you were standing on was actually the forearm of a GIGANTIC Titan as it lifts itself out of a poisonous bog. The game is really, really amazing.
It's also really, really long. I think it's only by hanging around the lot of you I have learned the patience and persistence I wouldn't normally have anymore to get by the tough parts and actually COMPLETE games like this!
That Music Box especially...
What's wrong about Arkham? It deserves everything Vader gave it and MORE. So much more.
Picked that up today. Held off on the Tomb Radier games, since I plan on getting the upcoming PS3 set, but Lara Croft is totally mine.
...
Sorry about that. I don't have to be anywhere as well, except I have to take my son to the doctor as well. Shots.
This would've been the perfect day for me to get my PS3/Killzone 3 bundle. Damn street date!
