I'm reminded somewhat of the Capcom/SNK deal in this scenario - wherein Capcom developed two fighting games and SNK did a bunch of TCG games and a fighting game. I don't hope that Namco's game turns out like SVC Chaos though, because this could be a very interesting experiment, or a gigantic failure.

All of that was my exact situation. For all the hassle, I'm on my third and I've still only paid for one, and can't let go because of the library.
I've considered going PC only (with hand-helds) next console cycle if things keep going the way they are (faulty hardware, move away from physical media, high price games). Steam looks better all the time.
