Deservedly so.  GG acting all 'meh' about this when Nintendo just opened the floodgates really surprises me.  He is the one that is supposed to be excited, and I'm the one who is supposed to be all 'meh' about it.

I'll go with the middle road.  Nothing overly exciting, but some good news to have solid release dates.

I'd say that having all these big games drop in the first half of the year is a pretty big announcement, and it does open up the question of "what will we see in Q3 and Q4?"  Zelda is the obvious answer, but there's got to be more than just one game.

Kind of agree actually. Feels weird when people are freaking out with joy, and I'm like " well that's nice"

Well, yeah.  And like most E3's it will probably be pushing a number of games, maybe even big games that the core don't care about. Personally I'm hoping for something interesting from that sensor device and retro as well.

Deservedly so.  GG acting all 'meh' about this when Nintendo just opened the floodgates really surprises me.  He is the one that is supposed to be excited, and I'm the one who is supposed to be all 'meh' about it.

What's there to be excited about? I wanted suprises. I wanted blow outs for Last Story and Xenoblade and new stuff. The release dates are cool, but really after what Miyamoto said last E3 about delaying SMG2 for NSMB I expected Galaxy 2 a lot sooner. Like now, febuary, not 4 long months away.

Monster Hunter 3, I've been tracking for soooooooooooooooo long, anything at this point is just white noise, because they should just release the damned thing already. I will be interested in seeing the Metroid hands on.

Right now I've just got Endless Ocean 2, I just got Miles Edgeworth, in 10 days I get Shattered Memories, 20 days later I get Red Steel 2 with my first try at motionplus and then 30 days later I get No More Heroes 2.

It's more exciting thinking about the very soon to be released games to me. And now Monster Hunter tri, Metroid Other M and Mario Galaxy 2 by summer? My hype meter is already topped up.

The rumours for this conference were that it was going to have Sonic in SMG2, that it would be better than Nintendos past 2 E3s combined, that Xenoblade and Last Story would get a blowout and that possibly Rogue Squadron 4 would be there. Also, DS2.

Still, I haven't watched the trailer for SMG2 yet so I suppose I will be back grinning in a moment.

E3 will have to have a Retro made game. I will be PISSED if its not there.

Wow back from work, long day, long day.

*reads the comments and learns about the news

Not bad, not bad at all. Nintendo really must have stuff ready for quarter 2010.

Xenoblade? Zelda? Last Story?

As I see it, he won't forgive me for Deadly Creatures, If I choke to death playing this game, it'll be on HIS head!

My head is large enough to have its own planet on it, like that episode of Futurama when Bender was in space and became a god.

There is only one God here and only one robot.

My DSl died :'( . And I'm kinda interested in the new cooking software. The first one was pretty good.

Me too, I really want to learn how to cook. Well not really, but it is useful. But first things first, I need to learn how to cut vegetables without causing a genocide.

DSXL is just a new version with a better accessibility, bigger screen for bad eyes sight, big stylus for easier use... Frankly I'd like constructor to think of that more often. It's not for mister Everyone, but hey, we can't have all the toys for us ^^

I am a engineer and we think always think of people with bad eyesight.

Sure we can build a small crane like this

But it is small and therefore difficult to see. You might walk into it or trip over it.

So just to be safe we make it like this

See?! No way you can miss that

In conclusion size does matter

What the F****!!!!!!

9:28: Come on, Nintendo. The beautiful orchestrated soundtrack from the first game appears to be gone, replaced by MIDI-like tunes. This makes me want to stab my own knees.

May 23rd release

Don't jump to conclusions. There will be orchestrated music, the question is: Will we get new music or will they just recycle the music from the original?

So Sin & Punishment is coming on June 7th. So we've got that along with SMG2 and Other M.  Nintendo is getting very aggressive this summer.

 Because Wii HD is coming!

Just watched the Galaxy 2 trailer. Game will be sweet.

I wonder where they can go from here though? It's like the ultimate representation of 3D mario gameplay.

Free Online Play, Release Date, Wii-Speak Support, Playable Demo, and Exclusive Pre-order Incentives Give Consumers Even More Reason to Join the Monster Hunter Phenomenon
SAN FRANCISCO, CA— February 24, 2010 — Capcom® Entertainment, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced big plans for its upcoming game Monster Hunter™ Tri at the Nintendo Media Summit in San Francisco. Capcom revealed that the Wii™ exclusive would be shipping to retail stores on April 20, 2010 along with the launch of the new Classic Controller Pro™. Limited quantities of Monster Hunter Tri will be bundled in with the new controller for a suggested retail price of $59.99. The standalone game will be released with a suggested retail price of $49.99. Along with the exciting news of the ship date, Capcom and Nintendo revealed its online plans for the North American fans by offering online play at no cost. Gamers also now have options for how they want to communicate as they develop tactics and strategies for hunting majestic monsters, either by text based chat or Wii Speak™, Nintendo’s hands free microphone.

Additionally, a playable demo and new pre-order incentive will be available exclusively via a partnership with GameStop locations across North America. Nintendo fans can get a taste of the action on March 8th when the demo becomes available at GameStop stores nationwide. For a limited time only, those consumers who place a pre-order for the game will receive an exclusive collectible Monster Hunter™ Tri Points Card valued at 500 Points ($5.00) and available at time of pick-up, good towards the purchase of any content in the Wii Shop or Nintendo DSi™ Shop Channels.

Simultaneously with these announcements, Capcom today begins a robust marketing campaign including the first in a series of viral videos focused on “true hunters” as the doors on the Monster Hunter Tri website officially open. Featuring a master hunter named Ironbeard McCullough, the new website and videos give deeper insight into becoming a true monster hunter and allows them to sign up for a hunting license. The Monster Hunter Tri Hunting License rewards users for sharing content by unlocking achievements and digital rewards. The videos and content that are shared will be derived from the Monster Hunter Channel on Youtube.com.

Making its North American debut on Wii this spring, Monster Hunter Tri is one of the most strikingly beautiful titles developed for theWii. Monster Hunter Tri depicts a living, breathing ecosystem where man co-exists with the fantastic beasts that roam both the dry land and the brand new sub-aqua environment – a first for the series. Offering the player varied control configurations to suit their style of play, players can choose between the Classic Controller Pro™, Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™, or Classic Controller™ to slay the majestic beasts that inhabit the world.

The Monster Hunter® series has sold over 11 million units worldwide and has become a social phenomenon in Japan giving rise to training camps, dedicated festivals and numerous licensed products. Monster Hunter Tri sold 520,000 units in its first week of release in Japan and became the leading title sold across all platforms for the week of its release.

Some really cool stuff shown off at the summit. I'm definitely interested in Monster Hunter Tri and Metroid other M, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a gauranteed purchase for me.

Capcom is really throwing off the gloves for Monster Hunter Tri and I say good for them.  If they can get Americans half as interested in the game as the Japanese are they'll get half a million sales just off of this. And for the long-term they'll build some brand value onto a franchise that most Americans know nothing about.

The demo is really what's selling me on this.  That's a series step and they're even catering to the Wii audience that doesn't have their console online. Brilliant. If Nintendo knows what's good for them they will back up Capcom all the way on this.  If this game succeeds it may best Nintendo's best chance at really getting more Wii owners online and ultimately that means more money for them with WiiWare and VC.

Hey, that would be neat. Imagine Mario jumping between the Metroid, Zelda universes and his own, with platforming levels tightly designed revolving around the special features of each game franchise.

How about going into the real world and stomping on Kaz's face?
