Resident Evil 5 Alternate Edition is unaffected by the delay of the PS3 motion controller, says Capcom, because the game's compatibility was never announced in the West.

"Capcom has not announced any compatibility between Sony's motion controller and Resident Evil 5 in North America," the firm told Kotaku when asked if the game's release would be put back along with the wand

"The release of this product will be unaffected by the delay in our territory and is still on track for a March 9 release with the individual pieces of downloadable content released prior," added Capcom.

So does that mean the Japanese version will have motion controls and the western version won't? Not good, if that's the case.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but did anyone notice how well Darkside Chronicles sold in Japan last week?  I know in NA and Europe it hasn't done particularly well, but in Japan the RE name is holding as much water as ever.  73K in Japan in a single week is never a bad sign.   If the VGchartz numbers are anywhere in the ballpark it looks like this game will still go on to do half a million in sales.  That's nowhere near the million plus that Umbrella Chronicles did, but sadly it's still enough to make me think Capcom might try to go back to the well one more time.  

It's still Resident evil, when the price drops the sales will go up accordingly.

But forget that, the game is unbelievably linear so far and the controls are so convoluted. They want you to use motion, only use it for everything just about. The controls in Bully Wii are better and more measured IMO.

I'm only on the training stage though.

I almost picked it up for cheap since it had atlantis on the disk and you get a han solo costume. Maybe I'll pick it up at very cheap. Did you ever play Godfather? I was hoping it would have melee controls like that - strangling people was never so much fun.

I only got Indiana Jones because it was £10, super, super cheap. You can grapple by pressing Z to grab then shoving forward with remote and chuk to shove them into things.

Do you play wii on an HDTV? Try using your TV remote/menu to put the picture into 4:3 aspect ratio. It gives a much better picture.

I'm avoiding all potential of spoilers for this game. This game is a Media Black Out for me.  Rest assured though I'll be picking it up.

Honestly, I find myself quite disappointed by the DS for the last while.  There's very little of interest released anymore.

I'd put Dragon Quest IX on this list too, but I'm not entirely sure it's going to make it out this year.
